Hermione POV:
I ran through the platform 9 3/4 and looked around for two redheads and a head of messy jet black hair.
"Harry! Ron! Ginny!" I said and ran up to them, barely missing Draco Malfoy. I saw him start to say something but I continued to walk.
He's changed. The war changed him, I told myself, but I felt like a liar. That kid had relentlessly tormented me, called me a Mudblood, and had just stood there when his demented aunt carved that sick word into my arm. I subconsciously rubbed the scar through my long sleeve shirt. I would only wear those now unless I was with my friends and parents. Everyone knew about what happened at Malfoy Manor that night.
"Mione! How are you?" Harry said and hugged me.
"Good. You?" I asked, putting on a fake smile and trying to forget that nightmarish night that haunted me still.
He nodded and smiled. Ginny and Ron hugged me, but Ron's hug was a little awkward; we had dated in the seventh year, but it was a bit awkward-we had practically grown up with each other and we were like siblings. We cut it off over the summer, deciding we would be better off as friends.
The train whistle blew, and we all ran onto the train to go find a compartment. As soon as we found one, we all set up our luggage on the rack above the seats and they talked about Quidditch while I read.
