Sam sat in the bunker, reading through lore books and surfing the internet for new cases. He found a few strange deaths, but most of the time it was only bogus hauntings. There were a few good bits of information in the Men of Letters library. However, most of it was just learning about supernatural creatures, not how to kill them. Sam had even found a book on the history of hunters.
Sam absently sipped his coffee, flipping through pages for anything worthwhile. Dean stumbled into the room half asleep, mumbling a "morning." Sam nodded in response has his brother headed to the kitchen. It was just like any other morning for the Winchesters.
A high-pitched ringing noise faintly echoed through the bunker. Dean glared at Sam, face portraying the general did-you-hear-that look. Sam nodded, getting up and grabbing a gun. Dean quickly followed suite.
Just as they stood, a bright light erupted from one side of the room. They moved towards it, not daring to get too close.
"What the hell," Dean whispered. Sam grabbed a pencil off the table, throwing it into the light to see what would happen. It went straight through the place where a wall would have been.
They paced around it, not wanting to step into it like an idiot. Eventually, the 'portal' seemed to get bored. It started pulling everything towards it. Books flew around the room, caught in its pull. Sam and Dean tried to grab the table in an attempt to avoid the swirling hole of light, but the table started dragging across the floor. Seeing that it was hopeless, they pulled their best bitchface and pointed their guns straight ahead of them, falling into the haze of light.
The loud sound of game show music and clapping filled the hunter's ears. An announcer's voice boomed over the speakers. "Its time to play Family Feud!" Sam and Dean looked at each other frantically. They had seen some weird shit before, but this was a whole new level of crazy.
"Give it up for your host," the invisible announcer yelled, "the one and only Gabriel!" What. The. Hell. From what Sam knew, Gabe was dead. Now, here he is, entering the stage of fucking Family Feud. The archangel sent a playful smirk at the brothers as he walked to center stage.
"Hello Dean." Dean had been too shocked to even notice who was around him until now.
"Cas, Jack, Mom?" Sam was totally confused at this point. Everyone was wearing a somewhat formal outfit with a name tag pinned to their shirts. As Gabriel spoke to the audience, they looked across the room to see the opposing team. Crowley and Rowena were at one end of the table, arguing uncontrollably. Lucifer seemed to be having fun. Michael was probably just there as an excuse to get out of the cage. Metatron was beside them having a mental breakdown. Behind them, where the family name usually is, Douchebags was written in big bold letters.
"With us here today, from Lawrence, Kansas, it's the Winchester family!" Gabriel motioned towards the family as the crowd cheered. "And from Hell, Heaven, and who knows where else, the Douchebags!" The crowd laughed and booed.
Gabriel continued to briefly explain the game as the contestants listened. "...Give me Sam. Give me Crowley. Let's play!" The audience went wild as Sam and the King of Hell nervously walked toward the buzzers. Not knowing what to do, they played as if it was a normal episode of Family Feud, shaking hands before getting in position.
A message rung through their heads. Play along if you want to get out of here. Looking through the crowd, it seemed no one but the contestants had heard it.
"Alright, guys, 8 answers on the board. Who is to blame for the 2010 apocalypse?" Sam was the first to hit the button. "Uh, me- Sam Winchester."
Gabriel repeated Sam's answer, looking towards the board. In response, the number 6 flipped over to reveal Sam/The Winchesters. Sam thought it would be higher on the list, considering he was the one who broke the final seal.
