Cracked Ice (Sequel to REVENGE)

Wanted, though Unwanted

           I got into the Uber, I cant believer this, I mean I know from the outside it may seem like he really cared about my family but that's a lie, in reality that's how people with my type of background get caught, they talk to  much, I know I've done some bad things but I wish I could be normal, I want Amelia to have a normal life, play with friends, not move every year just because her mom is a let down.

I'm disgusted by myself I'm the worst mother, I love my daughter with my everything but I'm undeserving of her, I wish I was better, I'm such a sad person, I'm depressed I take medicine everyday just so that I can smile, I even disgust Dante.Maybe I should just leave, no they need me, don't they?

I was on my way home, and decided to doze off, the police station was a while away from my house.

THE PAST

"I'm sorry I have to go" Dante started walking away, a painful expression on his face, I grabbed his arm and pulled him back."How about I take you out to have a drink first, I know this really good bar", "I'm not being a bother am I?"Dante said."No, come on, for old times sake", I led him to my car and began driving.

I pulled into the bars parking lot and told him to wait inside, he walked in and I walked behind the bar.I had to take care of something first, a little memento for people who cant count.I saw to men, one in a black suit sitting in a chair, the other in more worn out clothing standing in front of him, I walked up to them.

"Hey Rico, hows it going"

"What do you need Cathy, I thought you were quitting this type of work"

"Well you know bad habits die hard, so are you gonna make this easy for me"

He stared at me for a minute "I thought you were here to pick up something for Angie"

I laughed "you think that the boss would still buy from you after this slip up, the amount was off"

He got up from his seat and put his hand in his jacket

"I'm sorry but even a beauty like you cant persuade me to sit still and die"

"Well than"

I walked up to him and pulled out the dagger from underneath my skirt, cutting the guy besides him's neck into three flaps up to his chin, I then lunged toward Rico twisting his arm  away to make sure I didn't get shot, the bullet did slightly graze me but, I've been through worst in this job, I stabbed him in his temple and twisted the knife.

I called my guys to clean it up and walked back to find Dante, taking my gloves off first.

PRESENT TIME

I arrived home and immediately ran to Dante, I grabbed his arm and told him we would have to move again, we have to keep Amelia safe.

Amelia walked in to the living room "mommy what happened?"

"Nothing me and daddy were just talking about going on a vacation away from home"

She ran to hug us "mommy can I bring my toys"

"Of course were bringing everything with us"

"Yay I'm gonna pwak"

She ran to her room and Dante sat on the couch a troubled expression crept on his face

"Cathy, we cant run forever"

"Amelia needs us we cant leave her yet"

"No, you don't want to leave her yet, I can stay with her"

I stared at Dante in disbelief "I thought we were family, we are the only ones who know what Mia did, we are the only ones who understand each other"

"It'll be worse the longer we hide it, just give up while Amelia is younger and won't remember"

"Fine if you want me gone that bad then I'll just leave"

I ran to the front door and slammed it behind me,if want me gone that bad then fine I'll just leave, they don't need me anyway.Even thought I sacrificed so much for them, I gave up my job, almost my life, I gave all of my money back to my boss since Dante said he didn't wanna use blood money.

They really don't need me, I guess ill just walk around it's almost night anyway I'll probably go stay at a b&b, I walked a couple of blocks down until I saw Dante's car pulling up.I guess those assassin lessons paid off, I climbed up the back of a truck in front of him and rode it till we were far enough away and then hopped off, he cant stay out for too long or Amelia would be scared I thought, and continued walking.
