You open your eyes so wide, liquid run all over your face as cold droplets of sweat come out of your pores. Somehow you feel exhaust, as if you were running for hours. As you lay on your bed, breathing heavily, you suddenly hear a sound somewhere close by, you look around your room and even without the lights on you still know where your things are located. Looking intently around you, your eyes finally adjust to the darkness as another alarming noise crackled. Your head immediately turn towards the direction of the sound, and at the corner of your dark room you caught a glimpse of a silhouette of a man just standing there with his eyes wide open staring at your shock expression. You feel goosebumps all over you, you feel like floating in midair as the man's creepy white eyes illuminated from the dark, your whole body feel numb as if you just came out of a frozen ice. You want to scream, move, run but you can't, it's as if you are mummified.
Your heart beats inside you like a crazy drum as you can feel him smiling, enjoying the moment.
You manage to close your eyes and when you open them, the black-human-like figure was just a few feet away from you. Although your feet are as cold as ice, you force them to move, and finally as they touch the cold floor you run towards the light switch but before you could touch it you lose you balance and stumbles on the ground, you can feel him approaching you. And with all your might, you try to stand up reaching for the switch, reaching for the light. And when you can finally feel it on your hand, you click the switch on, and a cold breeze slap past you as the lights come into life.
Looking around your room, you see no one.
There are times when you don't want to look at your back because you could feel something behind you, that you're afraid that you might see something you don't want to see. At times you thought you saw something in the dark, or you caught a glimpse of something you thought was there but when you look again there was nothing. Maybe it was just an imagination or an illusion, that your eyes are just playing some tricks on you at certain times, but haven't you thought that maybe, at those 'sometimes' there are times that those illusions you thought they were are actually not illusions?
