ANNOUNCEMENT:
RELEASE OF GRADES WILL START TOMORROW. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
Shit. Kaya pala sobrang anxious ko these past few days. Magrerelease na ng grades. Binigay ko na lahat. Sana pasado lahat. Ayoko nang ulitin pa mga subjects na yun.
"Hi. Pwede na makuha booklets?"
"Ah opo. Kunin nyo nalang po. Dito po yung 2nd yr. "
Nandito ako sa dean's office para kumuha ng grades. Chineck ko isa isa ang booklets ko for our final exams. Mukhang okay naman. I just need to trust myself.
"Good morning po, Atty. " She smiled and told me to sit down. She wrote my grades on my grading sheet and handed it to me. I smiled and said my thanks to her.
Nagmamadali akong sumakay sa kotse para dun ko icheck ang grades ko. Shet. Please naman po. Sana pasa lahat. Dito nakasalalay ang mga subjects na makukuha ko sa 3rd yr.
I opened my grading sheet. Fuck! Pasa nga. Sa wakas nakaraos na ako sa 2nd year. Grabe. Sobrang na-drain talaga ako. My 2nd year in law school made me physically, mentally and emotionally unstable. Pakiramdam ko tumanda ako ng sampung taon sa loob ng isang taon na yun.
Pero ang mahalaga tapos na yun. Yes! Makukuha ko lahat ng subjects sa 3rd year.
I immediately texted my parents that I passed. Then, I saw our Beadle's message again.
Oh. I need to read a novel. Sana may mahanapan akong book na to. I decided to go to the nearest mall to check if the book is available.
"Miss, excuse me. Meron po ba kayo stock pa nung book na Sycamore row?" I asked one of the staffs of the bookstore as I failed to find one in the shelves.
"Wait lang po ma'am. Kuha ko po kayo. Ang alam ko po ay may 2 pa. Last na po yun. Ang sabi po kasi di na muna magkakaroon ng stock nun"
"Okay. Thanks!" I smiled and waited for her.
Bumalik si ate pero mukhang may problema.
"Ma'am sorry po. Ubos na daw po pala. May nakabili na po kaninang umaga lang."
Hala! Paano na yan? "Oh ganoon ba. Sige ate salamat. " malungkot kong sagot.
Saan kaya ako makakahanap nun? Nakakainis.
Mukhang matagal na yung book na yun. Try ko nalang sa iba pang bookstore.
"Hi miss. Meron pa po kayong Sycamore row na book?" Please. Sana naman meron na dito. Eto na ang lst na bookstore meron dto.
"Naku ma'am sayang naunahan kayo. Kakukuha lang po ni ma'am e. Ayun po oh. "
Sagot nung staff habang tinuturo sakin yung babaeng may kausap sa phone.
Mukha naman syang mabait. Lumapit ako sa kanya kaya narinig ko sinasabi nya sa phone.
"Ano na? Babayaran ko na to? Eto ba yun?"
"Ha? Oo kulay blue nga. "
"Oo na. Sige na. Ang dami mong sinasabi. Pasalmat ka sakin. Last na daw na stock to. Sige na bye. "
"Hi. " I greeted her. She look like a very accommodating person so, i tried to talk to her.
"Hello!" Oh. She's a bit cheerful, too.
"Uhmm. This may sound so random. But, are you going to buy that book?" I asked her.
"Ah oo. Why?"
"Pwede ko ba ma-rent yung book mo after mo basahin? Sorry talaga sa abala. Kelangan ko lang talaga sa school. Yan na daw kasi yung last na stock. I just really need to read the book. Sorry. " Nakakahiya man, pero wala naman masama kung susubukan ko. Kelangan ko tong gawin. Grabe kahit nakakahiya.
Natigilan sya at parang di alam kung paano magsasalita. "Uhm"
"Sorry for making you uncomfortable. Naiintindihan naman kita. Sige, mauna na ko sayo. Pasensya at naabala kita. Btw, I'm Kath. " I said and smiled.
As i was turning my back, she called me.
"Wait. Alam mo kasi. Pinabili lang sakin tong book. Pero i can help you meet him para makausap mo sya at makahiram. Sorry ha. Yun lang kaya kong help na mabigay sayo. " she apologetically said.
"Aaah! Really? Omygosh!! Thank you so much!"
So, I invited her to have coffee. I wanted to return the favor.
"Salamat talaga ha. Pasensya na. "
"No biggies! Pero sis di ko pa sure kung makakahiram ka ha. Ikaw nalang bahala dumiskarte sa bestfriend ko para pahiramin ka. Hahaha. "
"Malaking tulong na yun. Kelan ko pala sya pwede i-meet?"
"Nasa Davao pa sya ngayon e. Nagbabakasyon pa. I'll just text you about the details. "
"Okay!" I smiled again. Then, we talked random things. I don't know but, i think we clicked as friends. We have so many things in common. Her name is Sam and she's an accountant. She's so talkative like me. Hahaha. After almost 2 hours we decided to part ways and gave each other our numbers so, we can get in touched.
I smiled while driving. Today, I received two blessings. I passed all my subjects and I gained a friend.
Hala shet! Nakakainis, nakalimutan ko magtanong tungkol sa bestfriend ni Sam. Inuna ko pa kasi ang chika!
Pero, sana pahiramin ako nung bestfriend ni Sam. Sana mabait sya.
