Never Going To Leave You (Earth to Echo Fanfiction)

"Hi."

Emma's POV
(Post kiss, as the entire story will be from now on.)

We stood there, hugging. Just standing in the doorway. I pressed my face against his chest, inhaling his scent. He smelled of a mix of pine trees, deodorant, sweat, and something else that I couldn't put my finger on. Pulling away from the hug, my arms around his waist now, I looked up at him and gazed into his eyes. His beautiful brown eyes. Mmmmhh. My brain could only process one thought, and that thought was standing right in front of me.
"Hi," he murmured, "I've missed you."
"I've missed you too," was my reply.

Hugging one last time, I grabbed his hand and we started walking towards Tuck's house, where Munch was and Tuck were. We took our time, though. We were in no rush, and savored the time alone. I pointed out the flowers, (something he had missed in New York), the new people who had moved in, and Alex told me about the city and the restaurants and what it was like living in a place with so many people.

"Sometimes I like to look out my window and watch the people go by. The tourists are the funniest. They walk around in their 'I ❤️ NYC' t-shirts and gawk at everything, taking pictures of the most random things, and eating and shopping at places a true New Yorker would never set foot in."
It pained me that even though he had only been in NYC for a little while, he considered himself a "true New Yorker", like Nevada was just a place he was stopping by in, even though that had been his home for four years, maybe longer. We arrived at Tuck's door, and before we could even knock, the door swung open to reveal Munch and Tuck waiting eagerly for us.
