removed from the outside world, i try to enter the world inside me.
i close my eyes and see a girl sitting on a bench. our bench.
i don't know how she looks, but i know her eyes.
one eye, brown and beautiful, the other one was lost in cosmos.
her name is like a hidden pearl inside a shell, yet to be found in the deepest ocean of my mind.
i don't remember when she was born, neither do i remember why she was born.
a memory of us sitting on this bench and having a lovely schmooze is all i own.
for how long have you been here?
i ask her, and in return she gives me a small smile.
i wait. and then, she begins.
i have been here ever since you entered the world.
your presence is my existence,
and your absence is my extinction.
her words leave me aghast, and that's when i realise,
she's the girl forgotten with time.
