I kept repeating. Over, and over.
"James?" I look over at Riley, who has a worried expression.
"Yeah?"
"We're here." I look up to see the beach. Golden sand, the waves crashing up against it. No one was here. That's odd. Then, I smile to myself. We're all alone.
"C'mon riles!" I say running, to get a good, sunny place. Riley soon catches up. I sit
down and motion her to sit. She turns on the music, and sits beside me. I didn't like that, so I push her onto my lap. "Much better." She lets out a giggle. What a wonderful laugh.
"James, don't you find it odd that no ones here?"
"Well, yeah I guess. But we're alone." Hurricane comes on and riley quickly changes it. Then Be OK starts. Riley laughs and starts to sing along, so of course I have to join in.
"I just want to be ok, be ok, be ok. I just want to be ok today. I just want to feel ok, feel ok, feel ok, I just want to feel ok today. I just want to feel ok, feel ok, feel ok, I just want to feel something today!" We sing. After a bit of listening to the song, riley turns it off.
"Riley? What's wrong?" She breaks down into tears, for the second time today. "Riley!" I say getting up. "What's wrong?"
"I-I can't tell you."
"Why not?"
"Because it's to embarrassing!"
"C'mon Riley, you can tell me." I coax.
"Ok. Well the reason that my parents are so protective, isn't because of you. It's because of my old boyfriend." She looks at me and a motion for her to continue. "Well, he was a bad person and he would always drag me into the situations, he used to drink, and make me drink, oh and he would steal stuff. And so my parents are now so protective on who I date."
"Riley, you should of told me sooner, it's obvious that that secret has been eating you up on the inside." I rap my arms around.
"But, aren't you going to leave me?"
"What?! Leave you?! Because of your old boyfriend?! Riley, I wouldn't leave you if he was you boyfriend now!" She starts to cry again, but this time, I can tell there happy tears.
