Nancy James deliberately hit herself on the pole at the basketball field and Raymond did nothing about it. He walked away harmlessly and ignobly. She consoled herself imaging she was Raymond's girlfriend. Meanwhile Raymond barely knew her as one of the SSS2 students, nothing more. Nancy had loved Raymond ever since she was in jss 1. It was love at first sight. The first time she saw him, she knew, this is the man for her. She tried everything she could to make him notice her but all in vain.

This Friday morning seems amazing. Raymond's face was bright plus the refreshing weather. Him and his friends played basketball and Raymond didn't let anyone score a goal. Instead, he score all the goals: more than ten goals. No one had ever done better than Raymond when it comes to basketball. They all walked back to class chatting, giggling and teasing each other. Raymond slumped on him seat feeling exhausted. He found an envelope on his desk. He opened the envelope and found a note.

"Good morning Raymond. How are you and your family? I'm really sorry for disturbing your peace at this hour but it was really important. I wrote this letter to confess my love to you. I tried telling you but I couldn't muster the courage. I think I started loving you four years ago. I don't need you to reply me now. You should think about it. All I want from you is that you notice me. Sometimes you behave like you don't know of my existence. I LOVE YOU.

NANCY JAMES,
SSS2 gold".

"How pathetic! Who the hell does she think she is? Raymond grumped irritably. He folded the note and put it back into the envelope.

"Hey man, what's written in there?" Asked Alex curiously.

Raymond composed himself and turned to his friends with what he thought was a professional smile. "Never mind this. Its just some stupid random congratulatory letter". He wouldn't dare make the mistake of telling his friends about an idiot girl writing a love letter to him. They will have a good reason to tease him. "Oh my gosh!" He groaned with frustration.
Raymond sighed. "Who is Nancy James? How dare she write a letter to me? She sure have some gut's", he became more angry.

Nancy walked to Mr. Gabriel's office. She shuffled to the porch and knocked.

"Come in", said Mr. Gabriel (music teacher).

"Good morning Sir", she greeted him politely.

Mr. Gabriel was seated on his old chair writing on a long hardcover note with his glasses on his nose which made him looked like a professor.

"How are you, dear?" He asked.

"I'm fine sir".

"What brings you to my office, young lady?"

"Sir please I have a favor to ask from you", she said calmly and slowly.

"How can I be of help to you?" He asked without raising his head, deeply writing.

"Sir, I heard a crazy rumours from a lots of students. The rumour had spread throughout the school", she spoke her heart beating heavily. "I heard that Raymond David Chima an SSS3 student was the best music student last year".

"Of course dear. Raymond have always been my best student. What has that got to do with you?"

"Please sir, I really want to join the music competition this year but I'm not good at music", she grumped.

"Can you enlighten me more?"

"I want you to appoint Raymond as my music tutor. Please think about this. Raymond is the best so far, right? Will he continue to keep his talent to himself?" She said calmly trying her best to convince Mr. Gabriel to reason with her words.
