3 : what the hell josh

Emaya's pov

Me and Kai let go of each others hands as we entered the clinic. Kai followed me when I went up to the front desk and asked to see the doctor.

Nurse:"Yes, of course, just fill out this paper please."

Kairi helped me fill out the paper since I couldn't write with my messed up wrist. Once we turned the paper back in to the nurse, she brought me to a doctor's room.

Nurse: "your boyfriend can come if he'd like."

The nurse smiled innocently. I looked back at Kai, who's face was bright red. I chuckled and reached out my hand. He grabbed it and followed me and the nurse into the doctors office.

The nurse and doctor took off the ice and bandages and brought me to an x-ray room.

Once they were done they brought me back to the doctors office where kai was waiting. I sat down next to him as the nurse examined the pictures.

Nurse: "you were right, it is broken."

E: "oh. So, do I need a cast or something?"

Doctor: "we could put a cast on for $500 if that's okay with you."

My eyes widened. I looked over at Kairi, who was surprised.

E: "should I, bubba?"

I whispered to him.

He whispered back,

Kai: "what will your mom think?"

E: "I think she would just want me to get a cast anyway."

Kai nodded.

I looked back up at the doctor,

E: "we can pay."

Doctor: "great, come to this room so we can put the cast on. You can pay after."

I followed the doctor to a room like the x-ray room. He put on the cast and after about 15 minutes, he was done.

Once we were all done, me and Kai were brought out to the front desk to pay.

Nurse: "so are you paying in cash or should I put it on an account?"

E: "can you put it on Sara Richards account please?"

The nurse charged the $500 to my mom's account. I just wished mom wouldn't be angry when I got home.

Me and Kairi left and walked home. We talked like usual on our way home, which made me happy. When we got home, i opened the front door and me and Kai stepped inside. When I looked up, Josh and the boys were staring at us.

J: "what the fuck?"

Josh asked in an angry tone. My eyes widened and I got a little scared.

E: "w- what?"

I asked quietly, looking down.

J: "why the fuck do you have a CAST?!"

Kai: "she broke her wrist and we had to go to a clinic."

Kairi said and rolled his eyes.

J: "without telling me? What the hell, Emaya!"

I took a deep breath and spoke up,

E: "you were with your friends and the only person who was there for me was Kairi! So no, what the hell, Josh!"

I grabbed Kai's hand and ran upstairs and brought him in my room. I slammed the door once him and me were inside.

I let go of him and sat down on my bed, as I could feel hot tears forming in my eyes.

Kai: "come here bubs..."

Kai frowned and opened his arms wide and I got up and ran towards him. I hugged him as tight as I could, sobbing into his chest.

Kai: "I hate seeing you like this."

Kai mumbled and laid his head on mine as we swayed back and forth.

When I broke the hug, I sniffled and wiped my tears. I looked up at Kai and kissed his cheek gently.

His eyes widened, and his cheeks turned a light shade of red. I giggled a little, and then laid my head on his chest.

I flinched when Josh opened they door,

J: "Emi-"

I quickly got off of Kairi and looked at Josh awkwardly.

J: "uh.. I'm sorry. I didn't realize you were hurt"

E: "it's okay I guess."

I looked up at Kairi, signaling for him to speak,

Kai: "oh uh- yea it's good."

After that we all decided to introduce ourselves, hangout, and just shit like that.

Later that day after the boys left and I was just lying in bed, I realized how weird today was. Situations like these would've never happened back in Cali.

Maybe it was for the worse, maybe it was for the better. It really didn't matter, because right now I could tell I was going to be happy here,

here in New Jersey.
