"There's another way out?" you asked, focused. She looked at you, trying to figure out what to say. "Yes. There's a...a rip or something. I-I don't know... But you have to understand. I've tried. So many times, I've tried. There's nothing more that I want than to be there for my little boy, but... here I am." her voice shook. You could see the pain in her eyes.
Suddenly, your head ached. It was worse than anything you had ever felt, and this deafening tone resonated in your ears. Everything around you started to fade into darkness. Slowly. Like when you're blacking out before you completely crash to the floor in a helpless pile.
In attempt to ease the pain, you hunched over. Your head in your hands as you squeezed your eyes shut. As the darkness surrounded you the pain seized. With caution, you slowly relaxed your body and lifted your head. You took in your surroundings, which was nothing.
"H-Hello?" You stuttered. Your voice echoed on and on until it made the same screeching noise that your phone makes when you facetime someone and get too close to their device. You flinched, bringing your hands to your ears. You started walking, but your feet were heavy. You looked down to see that you were ankle deep in what you're going to assume is water. But you couldn't be sure because of how dark everything around you was.
The walls, floor, everything was dark, except you. You were the light. Everything was silent. The only thing to be heard was your breaths that were quickening.
Just then, a loud noise boomed. You couldn't tell what it was, but it sounded like a man's voice. The echoing wouldn't stop and when it did, it would just start up again, screeching louder and louder until you couldn't hear it. You slowly fell to the flooded floor, pulling your knees to your chest. You could feel the water on your skin, but not a single drop penetrated your skin or clothes.
You breathed faster and harder. The noise was beginning to be too much to handle. As the noise went on, tears streaked your face. Your breathing turned into stifled sobs, but then it stopped. Suddenly you could understand what it was saying.
"Y/N."
You stopped your weeping and slowly lifted your head. At first you were in shock. In a quick motion, you backed away. Surely your eyes deceived you because what you saw was... him. You couldn't pull your eyes away. "Jack?" You whispered, furrowing your eyebrows, but the same ringing noise rang out in your ears. This time it was louder.
You covered your ears again, looking at the Nephilim with pain in your eyes. He reached out his hand and pulled you up, giving you that warm, familiar embrace. You felt like a void had been filled by this one simple gesture. "You need to focus on a place that makes you feel safe." he said, his voice filled the darkness. You closed your eyes, taking in his scent.
When you opened your eyes again you were on the hood of the Impala. It was night, and the stars twinkled in the sky. It was that night you went stargazing. "It's okay now..." Jack started, but you cut him off with a kiss. You both leaned against the windshield. You held a hand on each side of Jack's face. At first he was tense, but slowly he melted into the kiss.
But then you realized something. You rested your forehead against his, taking in the moment for a second before breaking the silence. "Jack, how are you here?"
*Home*
Dean burst through your bedroom door. "Cass?" The angel stood at the side of the bed, but he was across from your body. Dean walked further into the room. His heartbeat quickened at the sight in front of him. Jack laid lifelessly on the bed. "What the hell? Cass, what did you do?" He rushed to Jack, placing a hand on his leg to feel any sign of warmth.
"Calm down, Dean. He forced me to do this." Cass said, placing two fingers on Jack's forehead. "No. No one forced you to do anything, and don't tell me to calm down, Cass. Just get them the hell back." He stormed out. Cass let out a sigh before letting his power flow through him. His blue eyes glowed.
*Heaven*
"Wait. Y/N, I'm sorry." Jack said as you walked away from him, but with nowhere to go, you had to stop. "No, Jack." You turned around, meeting his eyes. "I just... Why? Why did you have to do this? Why would you intentionally get yourself killed when we have two kids back home? We don't even know if we're gonna be able to get back." you rubbed your face in frustration.
He let out a short cough, and as he lifted his head up he said, "I did it because I love you." But that wasn't your concern anymore. You saw a drop of blood emerge from his nose. "Jack..." He brought his hand to his nose and stared at the red drop on his finger. "Hey, are you okay?" you asked, watching as a few drops of blood fell onto his shirt, another dripped down his face.
"We need to go." he said. He walked toward a tree, knocking on the trunk. He shook his head, going for another one. "Wait. Jack, what's going on?" you asked as he knocked on another tree. "The Empty. It's coming for me."
*OH NO!!! See you next Saturday!*
