I really messed things up. Marie deserves an apology. I got out my phone and started to message her.
//Hey, Marie. I'm really sorry that I lashed out at you the other day. You didn't deserve that. If you could meet me by the front gates then... could we talk?\\
Maybe... Maybe I'm not upset that Isaac is an honour student. Maybe I'm just... In denial? No; no that can't be it, can it? There is no way I have a crush on him! On him and his sleek, smooth uniform that wraps neatly around his body and... his cute glasses and...
"Oli? You're blushing real hard. Is that what's going on?" Marie said, smugly. "Come on, then, tell me! Who is it?"
"Eh-Aaaaggghhh! N-no! It's not like that!" I said, blushing even more, my face bright red. "I-I don't have a crush on Isaac! Where did you get that from!? Hehe..."
"Uh, Oli? I never mentioned anyone called Isaac." Marie smirked.
My heartfelt like it stopped as I had realised my grave mistake.
"So Isaac huh... Isaac... Wait- ISAAC HOLMES!?!? HONOUR STUDENT AND ULTIMATE DREAMBOAT ISAAC HOLMES!?!?"
"You... You got me." I blushed. "I have a crush on Isaac Holmes. Now keep it down!"
"Since when!?" Marie whispered.
"Since my first day actually," I whispered. "He helped me out with some homework and gave me his number."
"He... Gave you... His number... On your... First..." Marie stuttered as she began to faint.
"Woah! Marie, are you okay?" I asked, startled.
"On your first day? Do you know how many people go after him, but get turned down because he's 'not ready for that type of thing'!?" She whispered, shocked.
We continued to talk about the topic quietly, as a girl with long, bushy green hair and a freckled face had walked by. She looked visibly panicked, no... Terrified. She was walking at a fast pace as if to be running from something."Hey! Are you okay? What's wrong?" Marie asked the girl as she noticed her acting strangely. But the girl ignored her. She seemed so scared that the world around her was an obstacle to avoid.
"What's up with her?" I asked Marie, concerned.
"I don't know... I think she's in the honour student program, but... I'm not too sure." She said, puzzled.
The girl had ran out of the school gates, despite the fact that school has not been dismissed. "Maybe something happened at home, so she has been sent back?" Marie questioned.
The bell rang loudly. "Oh, seems it's lesson time, Marie." I sighed. "Let's go. We shouldn't be late."To Be Continued
