Victoria's POV

Science. It's not fun at all. Even Mariah thinks it's boring, and she's the smartest girl in our grade. Especially since our teacher is a wacko. I don't know how he got his degree.

Mr Gandalf or as we like to call him, Professor Gonedaft, isn't really a Science teacher. He is a Science fiction teacher. He always talks about predicted crap and stuff like that. I think he signed up for the wrong job.

I met my five besties (or as the rest of our grade call us, the Hybrid Half-Dozen, we're all so different to each other and there are six of us). Sima, Lily, Jazmin, Mariah and Chelsea. We all took a seat down the back, where we usually sit. We're not eager to learn. Mariah, however, doesn't need to.

I take a seat a gasp at who sat in front of me. Louis Tomlinson, the school's popular kid. He's a major hottie and always is wearing his letter jacket or a nice t-shirt. His best friends Liam and Zayn sit in front of him.

We start to do our work typing down the formula for density. Professor Gandalf sits in his chair playing with his 'crystal ball', occasionally making gasps to scare us.

Louis turned around and I froze. I was writing the answer for the last question and my finger slipped down the keyboard, making a bunch of letters show on the page.

"Woah! Did you lose grip of the iPad or did the keyboard move by itself? Do you have another battery? That doesn't take control of itself?" He asked.

I dug into my school case handing him one if my twenty spare batteries. I gave him a nervous smile and he replied with a small smirk.

Being the spunky and trouble-seeking girl she is, Jazmin reached her hand up and asked, "Sir, what's wrong? Did you see something in your crystal ball?" A smile formed as she turned to Lily while everbody groaned.

"This better be good," Sima turned to me, in her usual voice of quietness, "Or I'm leaving. I have English to get to and I need to finish my horror story."

Gandalf spoke.

"Twelve children. Six male and six female. In this classroom, they will open a portal to bring back those bestselling books and restore balance. Technology has took over. They will bring it to it's stable position."

Sima practically fangirled as she furiously scribbled into her litle notebook. Someone's got a nek to write.

Luke Hemmings, a bad boy in our class, called out to the teacher, "Sure" And we ran out of the room.

I took the escalator down to English. Mimi (Mariah) and I needed to correct the information before class.

"Hey, Vic? I know I'm supposed to know this but what's a book?" Mariah asked.

I pondered over that. Did she really believe that crap Gandalf spoke?

"I have no idea..." I replied.

Sima's POV

To be honest, I didn't even do half the work we were supposed to do during science or whatever the crap it's called. I was just looking at Niall because he was biting his lips because he couldn't figure out the answer and it was so cute.

Don't tell my friends I said that. Please.

So, I had all my books that I needed for the day in my messenger bag and I was sprinting to get first at English. I absolutely loved the subject for so many reasons so I wanted to get my normal seat.

But as I finally slow down into the modern room I notice that every seat except the front row is taken. Well shit.

However, Niall was sitting in the second row next to all my friend's crushes so I took the oppurtunity to make a tiny step forward in our non- exsistent relationship. I of course, saved seats for my friends as they slowly walked in to what they thought was torture and hell's baby.

As we got half way though the lesson, I took notice of little embers coming from Miss' little table. It didn't take me a while to know what to do next. I quickly nudge Jazmin's leg and she looks over at me, I the nod my head towards the firey red embers and she quickly screamed, "MISS! YOUR TABLE!" and pointed towards it.

The fire quickly spread towards the floor near us but we were all frozen in our spot. My eyes wide and astonished, I quickly whisper, "I love you guys," as the beautiful yet horrifing fire slowly grew taller and taller with each passing second.

There was no smoke though. That must not be right. The fire turned into an animated animal mouth and was about to eat the first to row. I quickly grab Niall's arm because he was the first thing I could hold that was close to me and scream. I notice all the other girls holding the hands of their crushes as the fire makes a crash on us.

I'm being transported through a velvety purple tunnel entwined with black twirling around and around and around.

This needs to stop I'm getting dizzy.

I hear someone scream abruptly and I look around and notice my hands shaking as he looks around confuse, "Calm Down," he says, a bit louder then he usually does. I looked at him suprised and oblieged. I see all my friends and their crushes. We're in the hallways of high school but, how?

Yes it was high school. With very familiar students.

"HERMIONE?" Victoria exclaimed.
"TRIS?" Chelsea gasped.
"PEETA?" Harry questioned.

We all turned, eyebrows raised,"What? Can't a guy read?"

A wide man with an even wider grin greeted us, "Welcome to Renrutegap High!"

Crap!
