chapter 7 forgotten allies old frenemies

Elizabeth's POV: we just left her we left Sue I think as I try to figure out how I could be such a bad friend I should have dun something to help anything I think I had not even noticed that Falker was loosing altitude and fast his claws brushing against the tree tops we all suddenly pitched forward and where tossed to the forest floor below with a whole lot of painful tree branch slaps as we fell I looked over at Mix who had managed to jump on to a tree and was perfectly fine. Random the cat was in cat form sitting on the ground like nothing had happened and Falker was stuck in a tree panting loudly and looking dead on his feet um wings and at that moment wolves surrounded us and dragged us off tossing us unceremoniously into a cell where we have been for three F-ing days. Was I pissed answer yes, where was Sue? No answer, I worried was she captured? Did she make it to the wolves? Answer obviously no if she had then she would have told the mutts that we where with her and we would have been let out days ago I really hope the vampires captured her because if she has been running around all this time forgetting about us I swear she will wish she had been caught when I get through with her. As a wolf slips a tray into my cell I glare at him "look I already told you we are Sues friends". "I told you the bird is a vampire pet and the cats are vampire allies so that is two known enemies and you and your brother where with them so either you tell us what animal clan you belong to or we wait till someone confirms your story" said the wolf I let out an exasperated breath at the dumb wolf and growl out" Fine" as I folded my arms across my chest and sit down on the cold cell floor "hurry and get us out Sue" I whisper out as I look through the bars at the wolf kid on the other side he had brown hair and brown wolf ears on his head with white ear ruffs a brown wolf tail with white tip and spent most his days acting like we where not even there. Mix fiddled with the wall poking at it with a twig which made a loud clank, tick a,tick a, clank sound and for no real reason everyone in the cells started adding sounds and words till we had a full blown concert. The guard stood up and glared at the cells "shut up!" He yelled at them the response he got was someone singing "shut up do do do be quite" followed by a bunch of laughing the guard opened the cell and pushed past us till he stood in front of my brother it happened so fast my brother round house kicked the side of the wolf's head smashing him into the floor with an unsettling crack he then grabbed the keys, unlocked our chains the other prisoners had gone silent in shock. As my brother opened all the other cells letting everyone out. "Come on if we wait for Sue we will grow old we are busting out of here and we will find out on our own what happened" he said I followed everyone out, the other prisoners thanked us and ran in all directions as soon as we saw the sky.

sometime earlier....

Prince Darker's POV: She was gone and so was her guard worse no one seemed to know where she had gone "she did not just vanish!" I yell at my council, followed by an order to find her no matter what. As I rounded a corner I slammed into a fox shifter named Meredith she was a castle maid and her bucket of water spilled all over me I grabbed her by the throat and pinned her to the wall "You clumsy little fool I should drain you of blood right here and now" I hiss out of my lengthened fangs she coward in fear the scent of it only serving to increase my thirst. "p...p... please master Darker I did not mean to you see I... I have news about your queen" she stammers out just like that I drop her "tell me now and we will forget about your clumsiness "she was last seen outside General Richards house" she said as she rubbed her throat. But I was already gone storming to his door I used the master key and let myself in glaring at him he sat calm and regal drinking a glass of blood with another glass set out for someone as if he had expected me to come. "Where is she?" I hiss out "where is who your eminence?" he calmly said as he offered me a seat with his hands I slowly sat down across from him "you know who where is Sue?" I ask "Have a drink" he says so I take the glass off the table and take a sip if nothing more then to appear civil despite wanting to pummel Richard for info. He folded his hands in a thoughtful sort of way as he watched me with calculative intelligent eyes "let me ask you sire what do you assume I did?" He asked me I spit out the blood in my glass in shock "the servants said she was last seen here." I say he glares at me over the rim of his glass "that was not the answer to the question" he said. I raise an eye brow and contemplate this vampire I could see why my father had liked him so much I sigh "I don't know I think well I think you either helped her escape or you are hiding her somewhere" I say and he grins. "Yes now why do you think I did it" he said I stand up "so you admit it now tell me which did you do"? ! I demand he slowly stands with deliberately slow movements vampires are naturally fast beings to move slowly shows great focus and restraint "wrong question sire the question. The question is why" he said? I blink " fine I will play your game why" I say letting my furry leak into my voice "I sent her away sire not everyone shared your joy at the arrival of the queen and word had reached me that by moon high on the night of the blood moon your queen would lay dead in a pool of her own blood and well I could not allow for such a travesty so I sent her away with her guard at her side to protect her" he says. Funny how my anger is now directed at unknown numbers of conspirators now and not at him "who... who planed this" I say threw clenched fangs "you know who Cleo leader or Thorn city" he said I was livid "of course she has been after the throne since we where kids I should have known she would try to take out my beloved OK at least tell me where you sent her is she safe I ask "oh maybe yes and maybe no I used a spell" he said and the where I ask getting a little upset "she was outside Falonja but by now the wolf capital" he says in a controlled calm and somewhat dismissive way, "So what your saying is she is with our enemies right before we are about to go to war!" I yell out as I storm out of the room desperate to reach the war council I had to describe Sue to them and give them orders to protect at all coast I just hope I am not to late and that she is safe.
