Prologue

It was the beginning of a glorious era. A beginning of a new life. A beginning of a new generation. The world would be changed forever now. Technology would advance, lives would be changed, people would grow and develop. They would be influenced by the most powerful, encouraging minds of the new world.

Yes, this was the future Luxo was seeking. To not only save the world, but to make it better.

25 years had gone by, over two decades of making such wonderful human beings (some not-so-human, though). Luxo proudly showed them off in the various cinematic masterpieces. Their movie counterparts touched the lives of many, and helped children cope with their growing lives. However, the creations themselves made the public skeptical at times. They were known for being influencers, but they were so...distinguished. So unlike other people.

But still, they trusted Luxo. He wouldn't be dishonest to the world, and he'd never create something he wasn't proud of.

These creations were known as the Pixars, named after the company that produced their movies. Luxo had named it carefully. He wanted it to be a true representation of the work. To make pictures. He remembered saying to the (at the time) small team of animators over 20 years ago. That's what Pixar means, that's what we do. But not only will we make pictures, we'll make memories.

He kept his word. Many of those animators remain working for him to this day. He gained and lost employees over the years. But only his most trusted advisors had the privilege of seeing the actual Pixars before they awaken. They start out as blank slates in a capsule, with nothing but a planned physical appearance. Then, Luxo includes information into their brain; how to read, write, speak, walk, behave in social gatherings, drive, travel, pay, communicate via technology, act rationally, etc. He gives them every detail they need to know before entering the world as grown humans. All the information he was given before he was allowed to roam the earth himself.

The best thing about his Pixars is that he allowed them to be whoever they wanted to be. While at first, they act and behave more like their counterparts, they develop mentally and emotionally the longer they remain alive. They grow, just like anyone else would. He allows them to learn on their own, rather from research or experience. They can love whoever they want, befriend strangers outside the company's work, have their own jobs, acquire their own appetite, wear their own clothes, have their own hobbies, They're free to be themselves. Unlike the other character entities from other companies, such as the Disneys or the DreamWorks. Their freedom was...limited, to say the least.

Despite that, Luxo knew that his creations were small and outnumbered compared to others. Though they were a strong group, they would need help in the long run. Mickey Mouse, the leader and creator of the Disneys, had offered him a business alliance for years. Luxo was also reluctant, being that the contract restricted him from making certain things, and that whatever the Disneys did would greatly reflect back onto the Pixars. But nonetheless, in 2006, he agreed. At first, it was strictly business. But over the years, he grew to enjoy Mickey's presence, and they eventually built a friendship on mutual respect and loyalty.

However, they both were aware of the real reason Luxo agreed to the alliance. It wasn't just to make extra money or to help grow his company. It was also mainly for the Pixars' sake.
Luxo was an honest man, but even someone as respected and dignified as him had their secrets. And this was a secret only he, Mickey, and very few of the Disneys were aware of.

And he was determined to keep it that way until he absolutely needed to tell them.
