Chapter 2~ blood stained carpet

I kept tossing and turning last night and only got about one hour worth of sleep.
who text me saying they're looking forward to seeing me at Halloween?, that thought sent shivers up my spine. So now Im officially not looking forward to Halloween knowing there's some creep 'excited' to see me.
I rolled out of bed and dragged myself to get ready. Something felt odd, like someone was watching me...
I spat out my toothpaste and washed out the thoughts. I'm usually home alone in the morning because my mothers got work and my dad well he's not around anymore.
As I was walking up to the kitchen something smelt odd and feral. My eyes widened at the sight of the fridge, I couldn't catch my breath and felt like collapsing.
'YOU'RE NEXT, PRINCESS' was written in blood followed by a trail of blood leading to the front door. The carpet was stained red and so were the tiles.
I missed my first class trying to get the stain out of the carpet using all the chemicals in the world.
As well as ten miss calls from the girls asking me were I was.
I figured I needed to tell them what I saw maybe they would be to scared to go to Sabrina's Halloween party and we can ditch it.

"OMG EW" screeched Holly once she saw the blood. "this is terrible! Who would do such a thing" Sam hissed.
"Listen we need to find out who did this" I crossed my arms, every time I look at it it gives me shivers.
"Leave it to us" Amy said "Ew, no I'm not going near the blood" Holly threw her hands up backing away from the fridge.
"I'll clean it... But I don't think I can go to the Halloween party." I crossed my fingers hoping they will agree.
"Oh no you're not we're not leaving you unsupervised" Sam shaked her head.
"But it could be dangerous if I go"
"No it won't if the freak comes to kill you we will be there to catch him" Sam rubbed her hands together in an evil way. I rolled my eyes and realised there's no way out of this.

Once the girls left I cleaned up the blood and locked all the doors. Just another hour and mum will be back, I thought to myself. I felt scared and alone, the creep could be watching...
What do they want? I've done nothing to hurt anyone well I don't think so. I'm sure I haven't I mean this could be a practical joke! Just a stupid joke.
I let out a long sigh my head hurt from all the thinking.
I dozed off on the couch resting my head.
"Sweaty, wake up" my mum shook me, I groaned pushing my mums hand away. "What time is it?" I asked it was dark and I was still in my school dress.
"You were sleeping on the couch so I thought I'll wake you up and let you sleep in your bed" my mum grinned. Her smile felt safe I realised nothing had happened since the incident with the fridge and felt relived.
I was walking to my room when my phone buzzed and I pulled it out to check to message. My heart dropped once I saw it...
