I started pacing around the room gripping my phone. The message left me tingling with fear; I unlocked my phone and read the message out loud.

I'm closer than you think… Watch out princess" I let out a lengthy sigh and caved into my bed, I'm most likely over thinking this. It’s a stupid prank that someone is pulling and when I find out who' it is I will castrate them. I shut my eyelids letting my tired-ness take over me, 'tap, tap, tap" My eyes fling open at the noise I gulp and swung my legs off the bed. Slowly I creep over to my window pulling the curtains open, nothing.

I was just about ready to pulled the curtains shut when a face burst out of nowhere, I squealed but then immediately stopped when I realised who it was. "Alex! What are you doing here" I harshly whisper, "Sorry, I just needed to ask you something" Alex is my neighbour also the hottest boy in our school yes I do have a massive crush on him and no matter how much I try to forget about him he always seems to find a way back into my mind. "What is it?" I groaned "Will you-" Alex started but I immediately blush what if he's asking me out? Does he really like me in that way? All these questions were swarming in my head. "Help me with my homework" I my shoulders in disappointment, "Why do you need help with homework now? It's two in the morning, goose" I growled there is no way I'm helping this idiot.

"Fine I'll just ask your other freakishly smart friends, maybe there a little more warm hearted" he smirked; ugh that smirk always gets me. "Fine I'll help you" I sighed in defeat only because I want to spend more time with him. "Great" Alex grinned he pulled out what looks like pieces of paper and held it out to me. "Have it done by tomorrow morning" and before I could say anything Alex disappeared into the darkness. Argh that handsome Idiot! He left me to do his homework and I thought I was 'helping' him, there's no way I'm doing his homework. I threw the papers towards my desk leaving them to fly around and gently land on the ground. slouched

I woke up with my head resting on my desk and my pen in my right hand. I wiped the drool of my mouth and adjusted my eyes, great I fell asleep doing Alex's homework. He wouldn’t stop bugging me last night texting me every minute until I got up and started it. Luckily I finished it which leaves me wondering why I even bothered to listen to him.

I sigh realising that the voice in my head was right. I do like him, once I got ready and put on my face; I headed down stairs for some breakfast. Tonight is Sabrina's Halloween party which means it Halloween today. I walked to the kitchen still half asleep not even a shower could wake me up, I opened the kitchen door and opened the fridge. Nothing freaky is happening so far which is a good sign maybe it is just a prank after all. A little smile appeared on my lips once I saw how stocked up the fridge is, I placed the milk and cereal on the black marble bench and began making my breakfast.

Just as I was about to take my first bite of cheerio's, I heard a loud knock on the glass door in the kitchen leading to the backyard. I groaned and came out of my high chair and opened the glass door, Alex.

"What do you want" I snapped how dare he interrupted my eating, "Calm down I just came to see how you were doing" my cheeks started blushing intensely does he really want to see how I'm doing? "HA! omg you should of seen your face!" Alex said during fits of laughter I just stood there with my mouth hanging open. "I just came for my homework" a small shudder of disappointment shocked through my body, "Oh yeah- I forgot about that" I chuckled trying my best to smile.

Once I ran up to my room and handed the homework to Alex he was getting ready to leave but then he turned around and smirked, "thanks for doing my homework… Princess" he ran off and jumped over the fence separating my backyard and the street. I felt weak at the knees he called me princess just like from the text message 'I'm closer than you think…watch out princess'

It all made sense Alex lives next door and knows that my mum leaves a spare key under the mat in the front door. He knows my number so he must be the one sending me those creepy texts…

The son of a gun is pranking me.

A sudden rush of anger runs through my veins, I can't believe all these sleepless nights freaking out because of Alex.

A loud bang on the front door distracted my thoughts "Thea it’s the girls open the door!" Yells sam. I opened the door letting the cool breeze enter the house and so do the girls. I decide to tell them what I've figured out about Alex and of course the girls go ballistic "I can't believe it was Alex all this time! If I ever see him I will strangle him" Amy growls. "Yeah we all will!" Sam agrees "Hey, this means there no reason to be afraid to go to the party tonight" Sam squeals oh crap I forgot about the party I half heartily smile at the girls, now there really isn’t and excuse to not go to Sabrina's party. Well darn.

"What are we going to wear?!" Holly screams over dramatically "Oh it's okay I could just wear my vampire costume" I smile even though I've worn it for the past three years it never really gets old. The girls exchange weird looks and in sync they all say "No" while furiously shaking their heads.

"YAY ITS TIME FOR SHOPPING!" Amy squeals leaving my ears deaf.

Oh, no not shopping.

"Can you try and be a little excited or even pretend" Sam rolls her eyes give me a pile of costumes to try on; I just glared and walked into the change rooms. We've been walking around the shops for hours once school ended and I just want to go home pig out on some chocolate and watch Pretty Little Liars, but noooo I have to go shopping for a stupid party I don’t even want to go to.

I walked out of the change room revealing my costume to the girls, I feel a little self-conscious because half my skin is showing from this stupid cat costume. The girls mouths drop open once they saw me, well this is awkward. "YES THIS IS THE ONE" Amy squeals running over to me getting at closer look at the costume "Dam girl who knew you had a butt" Amy giggles "Shut-up" I whisper harshly.

"Okay so now that we all have costumes, it's time to head over to my place and get ready" Holly said while walking over to the cash register and paying for the costumes.

Once we arrived at Holly's place we got ready putting the costumes on and getting our make-up done. Personally I would rather have costumes that are scary like my vampire costume; that got all the kids running home dropping there trick-or-treat bags for me to take. Oh the memories.

"Okay it's time for the Halloween party" Sam sings happily.
