"Mattea, I'm scared..." You said to your bestfriend who was sitting on the couch besides you.
She rolled your eyes at you, "Rach, do you honestly think anything bad's going to happen to us? We're inside!"
She had a point. It was October 31st, meaning it was indeed Halloween. You were scared out of your mind, you had a feeling of paranoia all day. You, Mattea, and your other two bestfriends Alli and Audrey were all laying around your living room watching scary movies.
"Hey hey hey I'm borrrrrrrred yea oh yeah i'm bored," Alli belted-out, causing everyone to laugh.
"You're a beautiful singer Alli," Audrey joked.
"Thank you very much." Alli mocked curtsied.
You continued watching the movie and laughing and making jokes for the rest of the evening. Finally, you looked at your clock and it was midnight and the girls were all sleeping. You were still paranoid so you couldn't sleep no matter how hard you tried to force yourself.
You finally snapped out of it and shut your eyes and 5 minutes later.
'snap'
You quickly open your eyes and scan around the living room, afraid to move an inch.
You heard the creak of your door own and your whole body frooze, you were going to die you just knew it.
You tried keeping your breath calm. You wanted to call out to the girls and wake them up but you couldn't do anything.
Then you heard a familiar voice whisper out,
"Rachel, I'm home."
You felt like the whole world lifted off your back.
"You scared the shit out of me!" You whisper-yelled back, getting up from your spot on the sofa.
"I'm sorry babe, I really am." Your charming boyfriend Ed told you. You honestly had no idea he'd be home tonight, you thought he was going to some boy halloween party with Mattea's boyfriend and his other friends.
"It's okay, I was just about to go to sleep." you told him, your heart was still racing from earlier.
"Can we watch a movie until we Halloweentown until we fall asleep?" Ed asked you hopefully.
You crinkled your eyes at him, knowing that he was only asking because it was your favorite, "Of course."
You put it in the DVD and turned the volume down very low. You and Ed fall asleep in eachother's arms.
