I bet you're wondering what Gossip Girl is doing up so early. Truth is, I never went to bed. Why waste precious time dreaming when waking life is so much better? Is there really anything better than a lazy Sunday? Reading the paper in bed, sipping coffee, scrambling an egg or two.
Yeah, right. We Upper East Siders don't do lazy. Breakfast is brunch, and it comes with champagne, a dress code and a hundred of our closest friends... and enemies.
Chuck's dad, Bart Bass, is hosting the annual brunch for his foundation. everyone is invited...Well, not everyone.

Alex was reading the Gossip Girl blast when she was in line for coffee. She first planned on sleeping over at Blair's but Blair told her that with Serena's sudden unwelcome appearance at the party she needed time to assert her dominance with the minions and Alex needed some time alone as well. She was too upset about Serena's date and her mom's to enjoy herself at a sleepover.
She got up early and decided to get coffee for Nate and Chuck as well, she could guarantee that they weren't awake yet she would just drink it at Chuck's apartment with the boys.
"Hi, what can I get you?" The employee smiled.
She's cute... Alex thought.
"Hi, yeah. One almond milk Caramel Latte, one Cappuccino extra shot and one Americano with a pump of hazelnut to go," Alex told her.
She nodded.
"Are you new here? Jade?" Alex asked reading the name tag.
"Yeah, just got here yesterday," Jade smiled while making the drinks.
"Well nice to meet you. I'm one of your regulars my name is Alex," Alex smiled at her.
"Nice to meet you too," Jade smiled.
Alex took a seat on one of the tables waiting for the coffees.
Just then Andrew walked in.
"Hi, one macchiato extra shot," Andrew ordered.
"Andrew?" Alex called.
"Alex?" He turned around.
They hugged.
"I haven't seen you since-" Andrew began.
"Since Serena crashed the party and I was too pissed to enjoy myself?" Alex completed his sentence with a question.
Andrew nodded.
"Well, I'm in a good mood now," Alex smiled.
"You're coffees Alex," Jade called.
"Thanks, Jade, you're coming to the Bass Brunch right?" Alex grabbed the coffees and asked Andrew.
"Yeah, my dad will kill me if I didn't," Andrew laughed.
Alex giggled.
"Great, see you there," with that, she left.

"God, Blair and Alex were so mean to me last night. I get why Alex we still haven't made up but Blair," Serena was talking to Eric, who was a patient at the Ostroff Centre.
"Alex? Alex Swan? The sweetest Upper East Sider in the world? That Alex?" Eric asked shocked.
"Yes, that Alex," Serena nodded.
"What is she mad about exactly?" Eric asked.
"I ran away to boarding school and didn't attend Elliot's funeral," Serena answered.
"Ooh, yeah I remember, you were the only one she wanted to see and talk to," Eric winced remembering.
Serena sighed.
"You know she comes here every Monday for a therapy session. She went rehab in Paris. After her dad died, she overdosed," Eric told her.
"What?!" Serena asked shocked.

"Rise, Shine and warm up those fake smiles gentlemen!" Alex yelled as she barged into Chuck's Apartment.
She saw that Nate was already up sitting on the sofa and Chuck was in bed with two girls.
"Hey Alex," Nate smiled.
"Alexandra, keep it down. Some of us are trying to regain our strength," Chuck told her in a sleepy voice.
"Your dad's brunch is today. Get up," Alex ordered.
"The alarm's set for 9:00," Chuck said sleepily.
"It's 10:00," Nate told him.
"I brought you guys coffee. Cappuccino with an extra shot for Nate and Americano with a pump of hazelnut for you. You want it, get out of bed," Alex told him.
"Give," Nate held out a hand.
Alex handed him his drink.
Nate took a sip and a deep breath.
"You are an angel, sent from above," Nate smiled.
Chuck sat up and watched the two interact.
"Shhh....No one else needs to know," Alex put a finger on her lips.
Nate and Alex both laughed.
"You both are so oblivious it's sad," Chuck rolled his eyes.
"What?" Both Alex and Nate asked confused.
"Never mind, ladies, double-time," Chuck clapped his hands and the girls got up.
"Oh, unless Nathaniel?" Chuck asked with a smirk.
"I'm good," Nate told him humorlessly.
"Alexandra?" Chuck smirk grew.
"Very funny," Alex narrowed her eyes at him.
"Actually, could you two bring some water when you get a chance? Lots of water," Nate groaned.
"You want ice with that?" One girl asked as she was putting on her shoes.
She then went to Chuck.
"Looks like you could use some," She teased him it Chuck grabbed her arm.
"That's enough, ladies. and I'll be sure to tell my father just how committed you are to the hospitality industry," He grabbed the girl's hands and showed them the way out.
Chuck then began making a hangover cure.
"What are you doing I brought coffee," Alex told him.
"I'll drink it after I've properly cured my hangover," Chuck told her.
"That kid popped you pretty good, huh?" Nate sat down on a stool and smiled teasingly.
"Purple is a good color on you Bass," Alex smiled teasingly.
Chuck glared at them.
"Never mess with a guy's sister," Nate told him as he took a sip of his cappuccino.
"What you did was wrong. She was an innocent girl who just wants to fit in," Alex told him while taking a sip of her caramel latte
"I don't care and if I knew his name, I hunt him down and kill him," Chuck said in a serious tone while making his hangover smoothie.
Alec burst out laughing.
"Why, 'cause you kill people now? You gonna strangle him with your scarf?" Nate mocked as he threw Chuck's scarf at him.
"Don't mock the scarf, Nathaniel. It's my signature," Chuck looked offended.
"I'm just saying, death by scarf not that intimidating," Nate told him.
"It's kinda cute," Alex smirked.
"He sucker-punched me. I told you. Besides, better a broken nose than a broken heart," Chuck said as he continued throwing shade at both of them.
"What the hell is that suppose to mean?" Alex narrowed.
"What didn't even talk to Serena last night," Nate said defensive.
"Who said anything about Serena?" Chuck smirked and started the blender.
