There's plenty of upside to being the spawn of the fabulously wealthy. but the downside? Super successful parents except for nothing less from their offspring. And when it comes to college, that means the Ivies. It's more than just getting into college. It's setting a course for the rest of your life.
And for those few who aren't legacies, the pressures are no less. When parents have sacrificed for their children's futures, what kid would wanna let them down?

"Thank you, ladies," the principal thanked them and they sat down.
"Good morning, students. I ask all of you to show a little sympathy for our junior class. They are almost through with Ivy Week," she announced.
"As is our long-Standing tradition, The Constance Billard girls will be in charge of Friday night's mixer, and the St. Jude's boys will provide the ushers for the visiting representatives," the Vice Principle announced.
"For those of you who dream Of attending an Ivy League school, This mixer is the most important event of your life," the Principle announced.
"But no pressure," the Vice Principal added and they both chuckled.

Flashback
Alex walked into the living room and saw her mother sipping her morning coffee.
"Sweety why aren't you dressed yet? It's IVY WEEK!" Miranda shouted.
"I know mom," Alex nodded.
"Why aren't worried the slightest? This is going to be a hard week. Getting you into Columbia is everything your father and I worked for," Miranda began lecturing her.
"I know mom. And what makes you think I'm not stressed. I haven't slept at all," Alex told her.
"What? Well, don't put too much pressure on yourself. You're a Swan. You'll get in," Miranda told her.
"What? You just asked why I'm not worried and now you're like-" Alex was confused.
"Yes, but don't be too worried," Miranda told her.
Alex rolled her eyes.
"Just go get dressed," Miranda told her.
Alex went to get dressed.
"And don't forget you have therapy session at the Ostroff Centre after school!"
______________________________________"Remember, students underclassmen should consider this week a dress rehearsal. You are not only representing yourselves this week But generations from our school and your families," the Principle announced.
"Where do you think they're going?" Blair whispered to Alex, gesturing to Nate and Chuck.
"No idea," Alex lied, she knew exactly where they were going.
Alex began to leave as well.
"Where are you going?" Blair whispered.
"I need some air," Alex whispered.
"Alex wait-" Blair began.
"And as part of Ivy Week's festivities, At tomorrow night's mixer, Blair Waldorf will announce charity her community outreach committee will honor this year," the Principle announced and Blair's attention was diverted.
Alex took this as a chance to leave.

Alex was outside the school where she spotted Nate and Chuck smoking a joint.
"Give me," Alex held out her hand.
"Alex you just got out of Rehab a few months ago," Nate told her off.
"That was for alcohol," Alex defended herself.
"Ok, but you drank crazy at Eleanor's party," Nate told her in a disapproving tone.
"That was days ago, Mother Archibald," Alex sassed and took the joint from him.
Chuck chuckled.
"Plus I only want one drag. The stress is too much," Alex told Nate and took a drag.
"Oh, that felt good,"
She was about to take another when Nate said.
"You said one drag,"
"Shut up," Alex told him off.
Looks like A, is reverting back to some old dirty habits...

"Thanks, coach," Alex smiled.
"Listen, I've been thinking, you have the potential. Wanna be captain?" The coach asked.
"Really?" Alex asked with a big smile.
"Yeah, you're back on your feet and the best swimmer I got," the coach told her.
"I'm an honored coach," Alex smiled.
"Great, let Ivy Week past and all you have to do is take a drug test on Monday," with the couch began to walk away.
"A what?" Alex asked worriedly.
"Drug test. It's just the standard procedure don't worry," the coach told her and walked away.
"Got it," Alex slowly nodded.
Once the couch was out of site Alex pulled out her phone and searched:

"1 to 30 days...crap," Alex sighed.
