The Changing

Part 5 (because I like to be quirky and sPeCiAl)

When I came to, I could feel something was off. Alex wasn't next to me and Jason wasn't throwing his wings all over me. Where am I? I sat up, alert, and looked around. I was in some sort of cavern similar to the one I slept in last night. Except it was much smaller and the entrance was really bright. Walking to the edge of the mini cave/cell that I was in, I could see other caves similar to the one I was in. In each cave was another person, sleeping or looking bored. Looking up, I noticed a balcony that encircled the circular dome and it was filled to the brim with Guards, staring down at us.

Yeesh.

I looked back down and around and there, in a cave in the corner of the cavern, sat someone that I most looked forward to. There were paths that led to each cave and I took one of these as I headed towards the cave that I sought out. As I passed by the other caves, I could see them look up at me with fierce or glazed over eyes. One of them even rolled his eyes. This gave me the feeling of uncomfort.

Wow, look at me being all formal, "gave me the feeling of uncomfort". See, I can be poetic. But like really, the guy is giving me the heebie jeebies.

There goes the poetic flow.

Finally, I got to the last cave and looked in on a girl with freckles and brown hair. She didn't look up at I came in and just went to the back of the cave and came back wearing armor that was similar to the ones the Guards at the entrance wore. When she came back out, she finally looked up at me. I could see a flash of recognition go through her eyes as she leaped to hug me.

"Oh Jack.." she sobbed, "I didn't know if I would ever see you again." Aaand.. Here comes the waterworks!

PREPARE YOURSELF! For some really sad sobbing moments. This was really emotional for me so you can just leave if it's just too much love for your tiny little heart to handle.

"Amy...what happened. Why did they bring you here?" I choked.

"Jack, they bring all the Super High Class abilities here...they're using us for some sort of sinister plan and the Queen is behind all of it. Also, how did you get into the Palace?" Amy asked, still sobbing.

"J-Jason..you remember him right? He and this other person named Alex helped me get here-" Amy cut me off. She had a stricken look on her face. Her mouth was open and her chest rose and fell slowly.

She kinda looked like those horror movie people you know? I'm a great brother.

"Alex? What's his or her last name." She asked. Amy caught me off guard when she said 'his or her' and made me only curiouser.

"Alex Turley. Also, how did you know that it was a he or she?" I replied.

"Well, I think he's a he today so here's what I know....the Queen has been looking for him for a while. He has a Super High Class ability and the Queen wants him under her control. You see, she can control all her subjects except those with a Super High Class ability. Everybody you see here has that kind of power. I believe that Adrienne wants us to be part of her Guard. It's a new project she's trying out. Using the most powerful people as her Guard, she has an almost guaranteed protection." It took a couple of seconds for me to let that sink in. I'm just slow that way.

"Alex...is wanted? So like he's a criminal? But...he's been helping me! He never said that when I met her right after you got captured." I said, horrified. "Also, I've been so curious to know what your ability is."

"Yes, to answer your first question, yes. Alex is wanted and if you want to know what my ability is..." Amy then disappeared right before me. The armor she was wearing disappeared as well. Pretty soon, I couldn't see Amy at all and simply stared at the back of the cave. I could hear Amy snickering behind me and whirled around to see no one. I felt something tap my shoulder and reached out to grab something solid. Oh, it's an arm. Holding on tighter, I could feel Amy struggling to get free.
