My eye flutter open as I hear voices outside my room. Some lights peek through the crack in my door. I quietly sneak over to my door and press me ear to the wooden creaking door.
"Promise she'll be safe?" My dad asks. my dad's a single parent cause my mom bailed on us when I was a baby.
The door knob wiggles and I take a step back. It opens completely. I step back shocked at what I see. There stands my dad with 1 boy and 1 girl.
"Dad....." I'm really confused it's like 1AM and there are 2 random strangers outside my bedroom door.
"Hey honey surprise your a demigod! Ya......."
I'm about to faint. My dad has told me that my cultural is greek but I never thought I would be a demigod. sure my mom disappeared when I was a baby, but I thought it was because she died.
I think for a moment then laugh nervously. "Haha your joking... right?" His face is blank. My dad has black straight hair and freckles covering his cheeks. His pale lips in a straight line.
I slump against the wall. Dad has never been a subtle person... I like that but sometimes I can't take big news at once.
"This is Jacob and Angel." He replies pointing at the 2 kids about my age outside my bedroom door. I awkwardly wave at them, while my dad fakes a smile. Out of nowhere he picks up a black bag and tosses it to me.
I barley catch it but when I do I stumble back.
"Thanks." I say obviously annoyed. he eyeballs me then smiles at Angel and Jacob, them walks inside my bedroom.
"Here let my take that to the Pegasus." Angel says. I make a face.
"The what?"
"Pegasus." Jacob replies like it's an everyday thing to say the phrase, 'let's ride off I I the sunset on a Pegasus with a bunch of strangers.
Angel takes my bag and walks somewhere as my dad comes back with my cat Benny. He basically throws me him and I almost catch him, but he ends up on the ground letting out a big meow.
"Oh that gotta hurt." says Jacob as I pick u Benny who has a pissed off face.
"I'll take the lit- fat guy." Benny is my chubby white cat. he takes the cat out of my arms and I turn to my dad.
"Honey your mother is a greek god. right now you are gonna go to a camp where there are people like you. It's the only safe place for you Abby." I nod knowing where this is going.
"So this is...
A goodbye" he finished for me. I hug him awkwardly because my family isn't the hugging type. I pull back and walk grab my boots. Quickly I slip them on and walk outside to see a black and white spotted horse with Angel and Jacob at the front.
I then realize that the horse is a pegasus. my knees wobble but I hold my ground, and walk to the carriage thing. Benny is already sleeping on my bag.
At that moment I take a good look on Angels and Jacobs faces. Angel has blond hair, almost white and with bright green eyes. she's wearing a tight orange T-Shirt that reads Camp Half-Blood in black letters. Also with skinny jeans and vans.
I suddenly feel out of place because all I have on is a back undershirt and shoes with black boots. My plain black hair in a ponytail. Even in a ponytail my black straight hair still goes down to my waist. My big black nerdy glasses planted on my face. My eyes are lightening blue with freckles on my nose and checks.
Jacob kind of looks like Taylor Lautner, with a shaggy orange T-Shirt that reads Camp Half-Blood. Also he's wearing REALLY shaggy jeans with white sneakers. (he's a saytar)
Angel hits the reins and we off flying into the sky. I watch as the sun slowly comes up. It's looks like the sun is coming out of the water.
