Peters POV

We live in a world with this weird magic that gives up powers as crazy as animal forms. Doesn't matter if it's helpful in life or not. By we I mean my Aunt May and I. I am a shapeshifter for multiple animals which is surprising because not many people can shift into multiple animals. My Aunt May is a different kind of magic, but is still common in the community. She has witch like properties like some of the teachers and students at school. A lot of people have a property like me, shape shifting into an animal, but I can shape shift into multiple animals. My main animal that I prefer and was my original is a wolf. Being a wolf in today's society is nerve wracking because there are only supposedly five remaining people that shift into a wolf, and one is a female.

Now just because we shift into a certain, or multiple on some cases like me, animal doesn't mean that we have to mate with the same animal. Everyone always says to mate with the same animal, so it's been kind of hard between four males, who are probably all dominant, to have one girl. And there is no way that we would all be able to "share" her and I would never want to do that to anyone. It's just wrong and I know deep down that the other males would fight over her.

Anywho I decided to go to school today by running and finding my breakfast on the way as sometimes I usually do. Ahhh a squirrel and a rabbit, sounds gross, but when I'm a wolf it's very delicious. Soon enough I get to school just as I'm finishing off my rabbit, and I see my best friend, Ned. He's been my best friend ever since May and I moved here the summer before ninth grade. (A/N Please note I make things up as I go along and this is a AU) He's told me everything about this town and the people here. It's a small town so everybody knows everybody, and everybody kinda to know everyone's business. I personally still am not accustomed to it since May and I moved from a large city two years ago. (So they're like juniors now)

It was hard moving pretty late in someone's life, but Ned has been the best friend I ever had. Ned is my best friend ever since I moved here. His powers lets just say aren't as helpful to him. He'd rather have crazy tech powers and be someone's "guy-in-the-chair" rather than have amazing mind powers. His face shifts into a hard look of concentration and it works. He doesn't like to talk about it a lot. Ned has never judged me for being a wolf and is on the look for the female one even though I said he doesn't have to. I shake my head at the memory of when I said he didn't have to...

(Hey another A/N the italics are gonna be a flashback)

(A few weeks ago) It was just a normal Saturday to me, going to Ned's house for a sleepover since we had the last one at my place.  I walked as myself for the first time in a little while. As I'm walking I look in shock at the beautiful greenery around me. It's so interesting how trees can grow and develop to the height and how they give us air to breathe. I'm lost in my thoughts so much I almost run into someone I'm passing by.

"Sorry" I yell as they grumble and continue to walk past me.

After a few more minutes of  walking I reach Ned's house. I knock on the door and I hear footsteps through the door and a shadow approaching. I knew it was Ned.
