Survival of vampires

Prologue

Hello, I'm an old woman who is 74 years old. You might think 'What is an old woman doing in this story?" But I am going to tell you a story about vampires.I assure you this story is going to be really interesting also it is all true. Now listen carefully.

From the time humans existed on this planet, vampires existed. Not the human kind we all know but in an animal form. The origin of the vampires is a bat. This particular bat is currently known as the vampire bat. This bat bit some of the humans a long time ago in Poland.

The venom of this bat caused them to turn into vampires. When vampires were first formed, most of the vampire bats followed them around. Some in their own will, some as the vampires' pets.

These people obviously had a craving for blood since they are vampires. Of course, they tried to resist. But the craving for blood only got bigger and unfortunately they bit people. These vampires got kicked out of their towns, villages and country. As this happened, vampire bats migrated to North and South America leaving the vampires in Europe.

Soon vampires discovered that there are people who are in the same situations with themselves. They met and got to know each other. They named themselves Vampires and the bat that bitten them vampire bat.

The bats lost their ability to create a vampire with its venom, so there were no more incidents of people becoming a vampire from a human. However, there is a rumor that when you get bitten by a vampire, you can become one. But as far as we know, no one survived after being bitten by a vampire.

The vampires formed their own village and developed. In this process, they trained themselves and figured out that they have superpowers. They taught themselves to control their cravings for blood, and use their powers.

Soon, they trained themselves enough to go into the human world again. Whenever their cravings for blood got extreme, they drank the blood of animals or they moved out to a complete remote place until their craving session stopped. Most of the vampires moved to Western Europe, mostly in France.

The vampires tried really hard to keep their secret but it got exposed. Luckily only few people believed in it so the vampires remained as a myth. Still, there were people who truly believed in vampires. They wanted to exterminate all vampires because they wanted to keep their families and friends safe. So they started to hunt down vampires. These people are known as vampire slayers.

Unlike how the myth was told, vampires didn't have any relationship with sunlight, garlic. They were the same as humans except the cravings for blood and superpowers.

Incidents caused by vampires still occurred sometimes. But fewer and fewer occurred each year. But vampire slayers refused to stop hunting down vampires. They truly wanted vampires gone. This is all true.

Now, hear the real reason why the French Revolution started.

1789. May 4th. (A day before the French Revolution:The reign of Marie Antoinette & Louis XVI)

It was a nice spring day as usual. Ashley Spearhead was enjoying her nice Tuesday evening. Ashley was a self-obsessed young woman who was blinded to money and power.She was married to a 54 year old duke because of his money and power even though she was only 23. Well this happened because the duke loved her a lot. The poor duke passed away about 2 years ago. He never got reciprocated about his feelings. Ashley was going to her bed when a stranger rang the doorbell to her house.

"Hello? Is this Mrs. Spearhead's house?" the stranger asked. There was no one else in the house since Ashley fired them all.

"Yes. What do you want." Ashley asked coldly.

" I am one of the members of the last vampire slayer group."

"And your code name?"

"Lionsmane"

"The one that I called from Boston?"

"Yes. I heard that you want to hunt down vampires and kill them."

"Come in."

The door creaked open, and Ashley grabbed the guest's arm and pulled him inside.

The two of them walked through the hallway heading towards the 'secret room'. The secret room was a place where Ashley studied about vampires and how to kill them. When they arrived at a dead end, Ashley pushed a tile with her foot and a staircase appeared under the floor. They went down the stairs and there it was, the secret room. They went down the staircase.

"So.. Tell me more about this group." Ashley requested.

"We slayed vampires. But we stopped doing that due to the high rate of our group's death."

"I see.. Then what about our deal?"

"You see, 'our group' stopped slaying vampires. I never said all of us did. l recruited all the remaining slayers and started another group. The queen knows about the vampires. You never heard of this. Am I correct?"

"The queen?"

"Yes she wants to get rid of them as much as you do. Her majesty made a plan before she became queen. She hated how vampires killed her subjects and she didn't want them to be terrified so she blamed herself for the deaths caused by vampires. I heard that because of that, the citizens will start a revolution."

"Oh my."

"The queen will be executed at the end of the revolution. Sad. But for the greater good. The queen planned the revolution including her death. It's a little bit extreme isn't it? It was because she wanted her country to remain in peace. Her death is the most peaceful way to end the situation. The queen... she is our group's leader."

"Our queen is a vampire slayer? And she is planning her own death?"

"Yes. There are about 1500 vampires in the world ; small in portions but still very dangerous.

"Tomorrow the revolution which is actually a distraction will start. Then we start hunting down vampires.

Tomorrow marks the beginning of vampire hunting."
