Harry wasn't the only one that received a letter, Draco Malfoy did as well, but his mom intercepted it before he could read it.
Malfoy Manor had been renovated since Voldemort had been there, and now it was a completely different place. Lucius Malfoy was in Azkaban for a life sentence and was due to get the Dementor's Kiss soon. The Manor used to have barely any windows, but now the walls are mostly made up of windows. The whole Manor was also painted white instead of the pre-existing black that it was. Only Draco and Narcissa live in it with Draco's pet bunny, Sir Hops-a-Lot. They also have an owl named Bernard, and they freed all of the house-elves. The house-elves all chose to work for Dumbledore, but thanked the Malfoy family for their kindness. Draco also has his own garden (with carrots for Sir Hops-a-Lot of course) and a potions lab. After the war, Draco and Narcissa both promised each other to be as kind as possible to everyone and everything that they encounter.
"Draco, sweetie," she said to get his attention.
"Yes, mum?" he asked.
"This is a letter from Hogwarts. The Headmistress is asking you if you would like to go back to redo your missed year of school. I think that this would be a great opportunity for you. It will look better when you want a job, and you can try to make new friends. I know it's up to you, but I strongly encourage you to go," she told Draco.
"I would like to go, but what will everyone else think of me? They all know that I was a Death Eater, and I don't think the people that I fought against would be very happy to see me," he confessed.
"We'll talk to Minerva, and I'm sure that she would be able to accommodate your needs if it means that you will go. If she can make sure that you will enjoy Hogwarts the most that you can, would you want to go?" she asked, wondering if he would go.
"Of course I would. I just don't want everyone to hate me based on what they think that I went through," he said.
"It would only be you and the other Eighth Years, so you shouldn't worry that much. I'll write to her and ask if we could meet tomorrow. Would that be okay with you?" Narcissa asked his confirmation.
"Yeah. Thank you so much, mum," Draco thanked her.
"Anything for you, darling."
