Ocean

The world you lived in was full of magic and beautiful. There were only small islands and one, unreachable continent. Nothing lived on the continent as far as anybody knew, it was all burning hot stone anyway. There were coral reefs which spread for miles in the shallower parts of the oceans before a drop off of a cliff into deep ocean. Nobody knew how far it went and nobody wanted to go after all the stories of huge sea creatures.  Although, one person had explored far enough, found a rock and coral formation that looked like a city, but something huge attacked them and forced them to run before exploring.
You were somebody who enjoyed the idea of meeting these creatures. You wanted to eventually get a picture of them. You thought that today, you'd achieve this dream. You were so close to being able to dive where the rock formation aparently was. You finally dove down beneath the water, your camera in hand. You took several pictures of the rock formations. You glanced over the pictures before swimming further down and closer. You swore you saw what looked like people in the pictures.
You swam over to the closest piece of the rock formation and stood on some coral, and took another picture. There was a loud echoing noise and you got pushed off the coral by a rush of water. A huge creature, more than three thousand times your size had shot past. It did not see you, and likely wouldn't care. It had a pure white stomach with luminescent grey protrusions on it's back and stomach. They glowed brightly.
It had 4 eyes on each side of its face, the front two are blue with the rest being a glowing orange. Its tail was extremely long and thin. It was completely white on the tail, with the same bumps trailing the top evenly. You took a picture of it, glancing down at the picture of the beautiful creature. It looked like a person was riding one of the six fins on the sides of its body, 3 on each side.
You looked up at the creature, you saw something swim behind it, a tail of some kind of small whale or shark moving up behind. You saw over to look and by the time you were over the creature, the thing with the tail was gone. You were now standing ontop of the huge creature. The skin on top of its body  was coarse.
You heard a loud, squealing or screaming sound and saw a long red and white creature with massive jaws launching itself at you. It had 2 pairs of long, curved protrusions coming out of its heads, which snapped against the others as it moved. You launched yourself upward to get out of its reached. You took a quick, blurry picture before swimming up to your ship. You got up to your ship and sat down. You took deep breaths and looked at the picture. Something was lodged in its horn like protrusions, it looked like the mythological mermaid. It had a shark like tail, making you think that was what was behind the larger creature. You saw blood seeping up from the water. Was that from the mermaid? You had to help them. You saw something floating up towards the surface, so you dropped your camera and dove down to help.
You grabbed the mermaid before that creature could launch up towards the surface to get it. You pulled it up to your ship and put it in a tank used for researching small fish. It barely fit, but this was only until you could help it.
