Thank you for reading and sticking through my unannounced breaks! I can never follow my plans, and I always follow random whims and ideas... Even if they're terrible. With how writings been, I definitely see that I should only keep my account active during long breaks, and when I actually have a whole story planned and written... I always think writing is gonna easily come to me, but it really doesn't.
It was honestly wild writing an Aphmau fic again... Going back to my roots...the roots I've mostly deleted. It was fun, especially writing about a character I never fell in love with at first watch. I appreciate Gene's character so much now, and I miss him so much! Aphmau's channel is going through an...interesting time. I'm not sure what to make of it, as most of her videos are "Minecraft but..." I'm really only a fan of her roleplays and minigames like hide and seek, murder, prop hunt, etc. It's her channel, and I'll always support her, but I might be growing out of her... I'll stay tuned if things change, and I'll of course rewatch her old stuff.
Ah! But this is not about Aphmau's channel! We're here for this fanfic! What did you guys think? There were definitely aspects I really should've expanded on, but in the end I wanted to finish things up so I don't keep an ongoing story... I think I tied up most of the loose ends, though? Or at least made it clear enough for you guys to assume what happened? If I ever feel a spark of genius or motivation, I'll definitely make a bonus chapter to expand on Y/n's family...both of them. S/n was a character that didn't have development from her introduction point to who she ended up being... How did Y/n even end things with her adoptive family?
Man, for a Gene x Reader, we haven't talked enough about Gene here. Is it just me or is there like NO fanart of him by himself? He's always with Zenix and Sasha, or it's ship art... WHY DO PEOPLE SHIP GENE AND ZANE? LIKE, NOOOO! TALK ABOUT TOXIC! It's all about— I know better than to mention ships... I don't want to be murdered.
Speaking of fanart, have you checked out drawlynn on Tumblr? If you haven't, I REALLY suggest you go showing them some love! They made the cover art, and I'm just the talentless child that took it off the internet and edited it! They're really good at art, so you gotta check out their other stuff! I was wowed!!
