Mitsuki sat up in his hospital bed, the stinging of his wounds still prominent. Iori beside the bed was watching Mitsuki intently, making sure absolutely nothing was wrong with his older brother. He planned to never let him and Riku out of his sight after what happened. Speaking of the red-haired boy, Riku was standing beside Iori, his crimson eyes blank as he scanned Mitsuki's injuries.
The rest of IDOLiSH7 also occupied the room, doing their own thing. Tamaki was sitting in one of the spare chairs, scrolling through his phone. All he could see were articles on the recent shooting incident. Quickly shutting off his phone, Tamaki growled in annoyance. He didn't want to be reminded of that. Nagi stood behind the blue-haired teen, patting his head in an attempt to calm him down. Sogo was flipping through documents the nurse had graciously given him moments ago, a frown evident on his face. The amount of injuries listed took up too many pages to count, and it was worrying. Granted, all of them were pretty minor, so they would heal quickly (which was the only positive thing in Sogo's opinion). Yamato was just outside of the room, calling their manager, Tsumugi, about the situation. She was unable to travel with them due to a last-minute meeting she had to get to. When she saw the news, she had immediately called Yamato, who left the hospital room to answer.
Mitsuki sighed. "Guys, don't look so down. I'm fine!" He smiled, trying to shake off everyone's worries. It very obviously didn't work, if the silence and the gloomy aura still being there was any consolation.
"Nii-san, please don't push yourself," Iori stated, his usual monotone voice seemingly echoing in the silent room.
Mitsuki groaned, laying back down in his bed. "I really am fine though. I'm more worried about that Taichi kid..." Riku visibly flinched at the mention of the young boy. The red-haired teen probably saved his life when he knocked out one of the men, and now he's laying in a hospital bed with an injury Riku thinks he himself should've taken. He'd rather that than someone else get hurt...
Iori easily read his sub-group member's feelings. "Don't even think about it, Nanase-san," Iori said, lightly smacking Riku over the head. "He wouldn't want you dwelling over it." Truthfully, that was just a guess, but from what he had heard about Taichi from his friends when they came and visited Mitsuki, Iori didn't think that he was too far off in his assumption.
Riku pouted at Iori, his cheeks slightly puffed up in annoyance. "I was not thinking about it!" the center had retorted, but Iori could easily tell the red-head was lying. But, not wanting to bother Riku about it too much, Iori stayed silent, simply giving the other boy a doubtful look.
Mitsuki sighed at the Fly Away duo's antics, smiling slightly. It was nice to see the two acting the same in the midst of everyone else's gloominess. "Well, before you guys got here, I heard from Omi that Taichi had woken up, so there's that piece of good news!"
Riku immediately perked up at the mention of Taichi. He was glad to know the other red-head was awake and alive. But that still didn't stop the guilt he felt.
The red-head was given another thwack from Iori. Another whine filled the room, and this time Mitsuki didn't hold back his chuckles. Riku pouted at the Izumi brothers, before turning away from them with a huff.
Sogo glanced at the scene, smiling softly at his groupmates. Nagi was laughing quite a bit, and Tamaki was teasing Riku about "his face being so obvious."
Yamato walked in to see that the depressing aura had disappeared, and a new, content one had taken its place. He sighed in relief, thankful that his groupmates were feeling better. But sadly, he had to break the mood. "Everyone, Manager says she'll be coming by tomorrow morning."
Iori looks at Yamato, several questions plagueing his mind. "Did Manager say anything about where we're staying? We were only meant to pass by here, but..." He dared not continue; he didn't want to mention what happened.
Yamato nodded. "Apparently, the theatre company down the road is letting us stay with them."
"At least we have somewhere to stay," Sogo said, sighing in relief. He placed the clipboard of documents down at the edge of the bed, flipping them all back to the first page. "Also, Mitsuki-san, according to these files, you're being discharged tomorrow."
If Mitsuki could, he would've jumped out of the hospital bed in excitement, but his injuries prevented him from doing so. He opted for a bright smile instead. "Finally! I hate just sitting here."
Iori sighed. "Nii-san, it's only been a couple of days-"
"And I already hate it here! Riku, I understand your hatred for this place now!" Mitsuki exclaims, bouncing up and down in the bed slightly. The group bursts into laughter, the previous depressing aura now forgotton.
