"For the hundredth time, it's an action-romance movie!" I scream at Jade.
She puts her hands up defensively and starts, "The most challenging part of filming was definitely the stunts."
"Why do your eyes keep looking around the house? That shows a lack of confidence." I throw my hands in the air. "There's no point of even trying. You might as well have a sign over your head saying 'not really Mia.'"
"Okay, relax. Where do I look?"
"You look at the person who asked the question, but if it's related to anyone in the crew you look towards them. How is it possible that we're twins?"
She shrugs, "That's just how it works." Her frown quickly turns into a sly grin. "For all my hard work, can I skip out on the heels?" She begins to pout and I know she struck a weak point. How can I say no to my own face?
"Fine! Don't wear the heels, just wear these boots," I say as I hand over my favourite pair of combat boots. "Don't slouch. This outfit demands good posture."
She glares at me. "You're lucky I owe you." I laugh as I push her out the door. "Be nice to Josh. He's doing us a big favour."
"Yeah, yeah," she says as she waves a dismissing hand at me before walking to the car.

I walk down to the hall and look around to find Christopher.
"You look beautiful Ms. Al- Jade. Blue really is your colour."
I laugh a little, "Thank you and thank you for calling me Jade. Did Zayn tell you anything about when I'm supposed to meet him there?"
"Did Mr. Pearson not tell you anything?" I shake my head. "He should almost be here. The two of you are to go together."
"Great! More awkward car rides," I mumble under my breath.
Chris looks amused but shakes it off. "Would you like-" He is cut off by loud stomping from the front door. Okay, not stomping, but his walking is super loud and annoying.
"Speaking of the devil," I whisper to Christopher before taking a seat on the couch.
"Jade, Mr. Pearson is here. The two of you should get going. Mr. Pearson hates tardiness," he begins to panic.
I cross my legs and lean back, "Well, Mr. Pearson failed to inform me."
"Jade! We need to go," I hear him yell from the front.
"Where to, honey?" I call back in a painfully sweet tone.
I then hear him come into the living room. If I thought he looked scary, this was so much worse. "Get up! We need to go for the charity event."
I look up at him, and although his tall stature intimidates me, I don't back down. "What's the magic word?"
"Please," he says shortly.
I get up with an emphasized sigh, "It was actually abracadabra, but I'll let it go since you finally used your manners."
I walk in front of him with my head held high.
"Stuck up-"
"What was that?" I turn.
"Nothing," he mutters as he walks up next to me.
________
As soon as we enter, he wraps one arm around my waist and I can't help but shiver. I look up at him to see him simply smiling forward.
He leans down and as his lips near my ear, I can't help but freeze. "I'm going to introduce you to a few people now. Don't ruin anything." Bitch.
I just smile at him and nod. He's going to be getting an earful when we get home.
He walks me towards a kind-looking old man and a woman who I assume to be his wife. "It's great to see you Mr. and Mrs. Harris! This is Jade. We got married just a month ago."
Mrs. Harris immediately beams as she reaches over and envelops me in a hug. I smile as she lets go. "You are such a beautiful young lady! How did Zayn manage to marry way out of his league?"
I laugh as I nudge Zayn. "She sure is special," he says.
To the jolly, unsuspecting couple we probably seemed like the perfect newly weds, but little did they know the thoughts that were really going through our minds.
The rest of the night went uneventfully and by the time we made it home, I was exhausted. As soon as I reached my room I started to remove my dress.
"I was wondering if-"
The devil walks in right when I'm about to take off my bra. Normally I would- I didn't know what I would normally do because this wasn't a normal situation. My husband, who hates me (the feeling is mutual), just walked in on me changing.
Like a regular person, I drop to the floor and bring my knees to my chest before grabbing my dress to cover myself.
If he was a normal person, he would've ran out of the room, but instead, he continues, "Our parents got us tickets to Canada for our honeymoon. If I knew you were this excited-"
"Get out!" I scream, but he just chuckles and walks away calmly.
