I awoke groggily and Glenn was asleep while holding a wet rag to my forehead. There were crutches in the corner of the room and I knew who they were for. I tapped Glenn on the arm and it was just like when I donated the blood.

"Why don't you go get some rest." I told him and he still looked horrible.

"Jessamine? Jessamine!" He exclaimed.

"Hi! How long have you been here?" I asked and Glenn was still acting like a dog after being in the house all day.

"I haven't moved since Hershel was done with you." He told me and I had no idea what that was supposed to mean.

"How long ago was that?" I asked and Glenn thought about it for a second.

"Almost two days." He told me and I knew that my jaw dropped right away. Why--how--was he--Who would stay here with me for that long?

"Oh, my god! Now that you know I'm okay, go get some rest." I told him and he smiled at me.

"You sure?" He asked.

"After you tell me what I missed." I said to him and he looked thrilled to be able to stay next to me in the chair. Glenn sat up and made sure that the rag stayed on my forehead.

"Okay, so you remember the two people that helped you?" He asked and I knew who he was referring to.

"Tyreese and Sasha?" I asked and he nodded his head.

"Yes, them. We almost convinced Rick to let them stay, but then he started to yell at the walkway above and then he got his gun out. So we got them out and Rick is totally out of it again. But other than that we just miss our favorite girl up and at it." Glenn told me and I scoffed at the last part.

"Okay, I highly doubt that--you and Maggie still not talking?" I asked and Glenn looked down at the ground.

"Not really." Before he could get all sad at me I decided to lighten the mood.

"Is that why your hanging out with me?" I asked and Glenn scoffed at me.

"Am I not aloud to hang out with my own best friend?" Glenn asked and now I was the one scoffing at him.

"So you've been hanging out with your "best friend"--"

"No! My actual best friend who I've been waiting for. Jess, your my best friend whether it doesn't always feel like it or you feel like I would rather hang out with Maggie. You've been my best friend since I drug you into that alleyway. Must I continue on why?" Glenn asked and I smiled up at him.

"No, as much as I would lie to drown myself in my glory. Have you been in charge since we got back?" I asked and Glenn nodded his head.

"Yeah, somebody's got to do it." He said and I nodded my head. Spoken like a true leader.

"They grow up so fast." I told him and he rolled his eyes at me.

"I learned from the best." He said and I fully agreed.

"Okay, well, good leaders still need rest." I told him.

"You sure?" He asked.

"Yes, Glenn!" I told him and he stood up.

"Okay, I'll get Hershel." He told me and I grabbed his hand. He squeezed it once and that told me he was okay. Then he squeezed it four times. We'll be okay, that's what he was telling me.

"Is Daryl still gone or was that me being delusional?" I asked and Glenn sat back down in the chair.

"If he were still here he would be in this room with you. You know that. He may not have wanted to leave you but he still did. Jess, Daryl's still gone...with Merle." Glenn told me and it really hurt for the first time.
