Reading lists

Not only does every category have its own book, it also has a personal reading list. There's a list with books where the main theme is love, friendship, parents/family, school and identity. Have you written a story that fits into one of the five categories, or did you recently read a book that does? Is it good enough to be showcased in one of the reading lists? Then don't hesitate and submit the story via the link underneath our bio.

Before you do that, make sure the story you want to submit answers to the following rules:
-   The main theme must be one of the five categories
-   must be written in English
-   must have a realistic plot (I'm so sorry, but no Harry Potter fanfiction ... such a shame)
-   must respect all Wattpad's guidelines
-   must be (almost) completed or updated regularly. Books that might get put 'on hold' in the             future do not get accepted.
-   must be appropriate for a teenage audience
-   must have good grammar, spelling and punctuation

It's quite the list, but these reading lists are not for any story. They showcase the best of the best and that's what I want to provide.

When you have submitted your story, our team will take a look at it and decide if it is approved. If it is, it will be added to the correct reading list and you will get a private message telling you that your story has been added. In that message will also be a link to a sticker that you can add to the cover of your book to show your readers. Stickers often show that your story is worth a read. You DON'T HAVE TO add the sticker, you're completely free. Screening the submission can take a couple of days, depending on the amount of free time our team has, so be patient. If you haven't received a message after a week, your work probably wasn't approved. Maybe try again with a different story?

Important to know: one author can only have one story per reading list. The reading lists get updated regularly, meaning that when new stories are added, old ones are removed. We never keep more than 15 stories in a reading list to keep things organised. Once you've been removed from the list, you can submit a new story. A story that has been submitted before can not be submitted again.

Next to those five reading lists, there is also a "featured" list. In this list, the best of the best OF THE BEST stories will be showcased. These can be stories submitted by some of you, or stories that were scouted by the owner of this page. Although these stories can be ones that were submitted, you can't ask to be in the featured list. When looking through the submissions, all stories (at least the first few chapters) will be read. When a story seems very promising, I can choose to add it to the featured list. This is a decision made by the owner of the page, not by  you.

Even if you're not interested in submitting a story, definitely check out the reading lists! They contain very good stories. It's important to support each other's passions, so if you've got the time, check it out! I'm excited to read your works!
