They are their own person-strong, brilliant, and beautiful. They are true to themself no matter what is demanded of them. They knew better than to give in to a close minded society of fear-mongering beasts. The beasts only wanted to destroy them for being whole and happy with themselves. And our protagonist is indeed a whole and happy person living out their life peacefully as possible. They live their life by their own inhibitions. They are in love with whoever their heart chooses. No fears. No loss. Just a happy reality. What else could a person want? This person had to fight. This person fought a battle and worked so hard to win. Some would question whether the protagonist had really won. But they know that they did. Navy was a warrior. Navy fought against fears. Sometimes the battle is a recurring one, but our beloved Navy knows that all will never be lost.
Navy met their person on a dark afternoon under the moon light. Their person was also strong and magnificent. They were a perfect match; they became a happy couple. Together they had nothing to lose, and they had all their lives to win. Together, they could never run out of chances or be harmed by the ignorance of Outsiders to their world. All they had was rightfully earned and lovingly shared. There was nothing between them to question. They each trusted the other's stories and lessons. They had a world of new information to learn from each other. Both people felt equally connected and balanced, as if they shared the same lives through fresh perspectives. They never asked for anything more. They never wanted anything less.
The day they met, the moon was a blaze. Lives of all-even the outsiders-had changed in a single heartbeat. The sudden change brought them together from yards apart. They'd never seen each other before, but the new question that the sudden change created brought their eyes together. The same confusion, the same awe. The same tension and the same questioning. One walked towards the other, and a new beginning had emerged for the couple. In a whirlwind of anxiety and relief, they collapsed together into a new world, a whirlpool of reality never to calm. Within the speeding air and blustery dark sky, they locked eyes and found solace. They held hands and ran away past the shore. They fled so they could voice all the questions that every citizen was too stunned to speak. And in that time, Navy and Gray had felt it. They had felt their connection, and they'd felt a hint of power-a force-between them.
In that moment, the rains had came. They didn't know what else to do, so they danced and laughed their anxiety away. They laughed a way the questions and the tensions. All the people had a whole life behind them that they no longer knew what to do with. These two held hands and decided to search for answers together. No thought about their families, no thoughts about "right or wrong" or "acceptable and unacceptable". For within that whirlpool of reality, all that they knew was shaken. Now, they search their own depths and awaken for the journey they were meant to go on together. All of the previous knowledge no longer mattered. In their shared little universe, the only humans are them. They fought to be together, despite their small space. The Outsiders wanted them gone. To the Outsiders, Navy and Gray were just another side effect of the lovely day gone wrong. They called Navy and Gray an abomination created by what was speculated to be a time warp, the constant appearance of the Moon and a dark sky.
Navy and Gray knew different. Navy and Gray knew it was no time warp. They knew that the sudden change was more like the side effect of them. Navy and Gray knew that times were changing and acceptance will someday be a question no longer. Navy and Gray know that someday they will not be questioned or misunderstood by the Outsiders. Navy and Gray know that someday negativity will not exist at all. There will be no social expectations, stigmas, or fears. There will be only love, light, and joy. All will never be perfect, but all will be right; good; and wholesome. All will be shared and in balance. And for that time, the magic between Navy and Gray will keep them on Earth to navigate the new times of the New Age.
