They fled to a new place. They escaped the punishment of Outsiders before their beastly hate could kill them. Navy and Gray ran past the water. Far out into the distance they traveled, not stopping for hours. Their energy was in abundance as they were together and following their collective heart. At some point as they were crossing the waves of their ocean, they decided to head towards land. As they touched the silky sands of their Heaven, they discovered fruit that they feasted on. They ate oodles and laughed at each other and joked and flirted. Gray sat across from Navy with their mouth covered in juice and seeds. Navy poked fun at them, and Gray responded by throwing a particularly soft fruit at Navy. The fruit had bursted its icky, sticky juices al over Navy, and they were in shock. "Come here, you!!", Navy screamed in a loud, playful voice. Gray let out a hearty giggle and ran. They chased each other for half an hour before Navy grabbed Gray, hugging and swinging Gray around.

During their time of making fun, they hadn't noticed that they stumbled upon a grotto. A beautiful clearing of Heavenly grass and spectacular oaks. Streams of ivy and vines hung off some of the trees, connecting one to the other. In the clearing where they sat cuddled (just noticing their location), they were awestruck, absolutely amazed. This little bubble of life was exactly what they wanted without them realizing. Gray walked up to one of the massive elder oaks to gently graze its trunk in wonderment and appreciation. They noticed a little line of ants traversing up the trunk. Gray chuckled in adoration. Meanwhile, Navy was noticing the sky. There was a magnificent view upwards that Navy indulged in. As the stars twinkled, Navy called out to Gray, "Ever climbed a tree?" to which Gray responded with widened eyes and an open mouth. "You want to climb one of these?", they ask with apprehension, referring to the giant, intimidating trees around them. Navy only gave a smirk of superiority in turn.

On their way up, Navy instructs Gray of what to do. Finally, they're sitting above the treetops pointing out the constellations. "I know we just met today, and we have had a great time together. I have gotten to hold your hand, and I feel like I have known you forever. We had such a fun hug earlier! And I just wanted to know if I could put an arm around your waist right now." Gray gives Navy a questioning smile. Navy continues, "This setting is a little more intimate than that of our previous moment though. I have had more time to process all that has happened today, and I think we are really soulmates". At this point, Gray gives Navy the warms smile and a cautious hug (for fear that they may fall). "Yeah, Navy. I agree. I appreciate you asking so much, though. I am so glad that we know each other. You are more special and present than anyone that's ever been in my life before. Especially consider there's no one else in our lives anymore. Oh." Gray and Navy feel that sink in, and Gray's expression changes as soon as they realize. Navy gives Gray's hand a gentle squeeze. "It will be okay, love. We have each other to figure this out with. And I hate to mention the elephant in the room, but at some point we need to discuss what happened today". "Navy, did it occur because of us?" It isn't that they do not know the answer but that they can't quite understand it yet. "Let's think it over some more before we discuss, Gray. Okay?" Gray nods and scoots in closer to Navy as Navy puts their arm around Gray's waist. Navy puts their head on Gray's shoulder, and they both try to relax. Gray looks up at the dark sky wishing for better answers.

They both had fallen asleep there. Hours later, they'd awoken and cautiously climbed down, Navy going first. They finally reach ground and giggle about Gray's struggles on the way. They found a leafy tree to provide shelter and sat staring into each other's eyes before they realized how badly they needed to sleep. They lied close in a spoon position. Gray was big spoon that night. They both silently considered if that would always be the case or not; maybe they would experiment.
