This was my first written manuscript in early 2010.
Ang resulta nito noon ay Major Revision. I wasn't expecting much after that, seeing as my first effort into romance writing failed. Or at least, I thought it was.
That summer, I received an e-mail from Ms. Edith Garcia, editor-in-chief of Precious Hearts Romances. I was invited to their Summer Romance Writing Workshop. For free! Although most of it we already tackled in our Creative Writing Class during college, ang takeaway ko ay 'yung 'You do not write for yourself. Kasi kung nagsusulat ka lang para sa sarili mo, mag-diary ka na lang.' That's when I hit me that the publishing world is not a walk through the park.
Long story short, I revised this novel according to their set guidelines and the romance formula. By God's grace, na-approve after. Then I preceded to write some more and got published some more until I couldn't write anymore.
This novel will always be special to me. It's not perfect and the references are already obsolete. Pero I hope the kind of love I wrote here is able to transcend time. Because we all long to find a love we can call ours.
