You were distracted the whole cab ride by your encounter with Hoseok. So distracted that you didn't think to check a mirror after your heavy session in the alley. But the lipstick smeared across your face was a good icebreaker with your friend. You didn't need to figure out a way to slip into conversation that you had just made-out with Hoseok.

"You just left him there?" Hyejoo looked at you as if you had just told her you ran over her cat. You sniffed out a smile and nodded. "So, what does this mean?" she awed. "Does he want you back?"

"We were never together," you quirked your eyebrow in response. She nodded as she caught your meaning.

"Still, he's obviously still thinking about you."

"Or he was horny and just wanted to have sex."

"Or he wants to start sleeping with you again."

"Perhaps. Maybe it might work out this time since I know it's going nowhere," you chuckled. You weren't being serious, but Hyejoo sent you a mischievous smile that made you pause.

"It's too bad he was such a dunce. I really had hoped you two would've ended up together. You were so much fun to be around."

"Well," you sighed. "I had hoped that too, but... can't always get what you want, I guess."

With a somber conclusion to the Hoseok conversation, the two of you chatted over a couple more cocktails. Unlike you, Hyejoo had a busy Saturday planned with her boyfriend's family and couldn't stay out all night. You had hoped offering her a third round would convince her otherwise, but, alas, you were unsuccessful. Truth is, you weren't sure you wanted to be alone with your thoughts or your libido. It had been at least an hour – maybe two – since you left Hoseok and his erection in the alley, but he still hung present in your head. He had gotten under your skin. Your body still felt the adrenaline coursing through it, as if you were recovering from running a marathon. You were afraid of what you might do or who you might call if you were left alone to your own devices.

After you said your goodbyes, you decided to walk home from the restaurant. You wanted the cool air to refresh you. You tried to think of anything but Hoseok, but too often errant thoughts would creep up and catch you off guard. Eventually, you just surrendered to them.

I should have just gone with him.

You were so bothered now. You had fantasized about what would have happened had you just said "yes" when he said "let's call a cab." Those hands and those lips would be all over your body right now. You were desperate to feel the weight of him on top of you and how solid he felt when you held on to each other. You were becoming so turned on by the thought alone that the friction of your panties as you walk was making you sensitive.

I should just text him.

You shook off the idea. Between your dignity, leaving him thirsty in an alley, or the possibility that he's already with some other woman, inviting him over was too risky.

I guess it's just me and Dilbert tonight (Dilbert was your favorite vibrator and he was going to get a big workout tonight.) You were already part way up the hill to your apartment complex when the thought came to you that you should by some more batteries - just in case. You decided not to. You rationalized that you'd rather risk dead batteries and resort to using your hand than not release this frustration within the next 10 minutes.

You reached the narrow stone staircase that separates your building from its sister. As you began to climb the steps toward your unit, you looked up and notice a figure leaning against your door with their hands in their pockets.

You squinted a little to minimize the backlight and get a better look, but you knew deep down before you got a good look at his profile that it was him. Hoseok.
