*3rd person POV*

Raven levitates over her bed, meditating and using her mantra as a focal point. She's focusing on what to tell her teammates about her new idea and the realizations that have led her to this point.

You see, two weeks ago; Raven, the teen titans, and Slade defeated Trigon. Two weeks ago, Raven realized the connection she shared with her team is thicker than blood. However, a week and a half ago, Raven also realized that there might be family out there that does share her blood; on her mother's side, of course. And, even though her teammates are the closest to her, aside from her adoptive family; she feels she owes it to her mother's family to at least meet them.

Wanting to learn more of her mother and her blood origin, she asked for Dick's help in locating where her mother came from. During her sparse visits, Arella had often told Raven stories of the strict and dysfunctional, but caring family that she had left behind in Gotham City; all because she lost in her fight to depression and even fell in love with the leader of a cult, and then later, in love with Trigon's human form. She also told Raven the entire truth of her life during and after the cult as well as the choices she made after she was brought to Azarath. Raven always knew her mother was scared of her because of her relation to Trigon. She also knows that she cared for her in her own way, even when she gave Raven to Raven's adoptive mother, the high priestess of Azarath, Azar.

Knowing how much Arella missed her mother and sister, Raven wishes to meet them herself and tell them of how much Arella changed from her depressed, aimless, and rebellious adolescent. How, even though her depression never went away, because it never truly does, she overcame it so many times. And how, even though, Angela 'Arella' Roth wasn't her care taker for the first ten years of her life, only visiting her on rare occasions, she was still a loving mother, who gave her life to protect her daughter.

And so, today is the day she tells her team that she, an empath, is going to Gotham City, a heavily populated and the most criminally insane filled city in the world, alone. As much as she wanted to have her team, her family, with her, she felt as though this is something she has to do on her own. She has to discover more about this side of herself. Besides, Jump City needs them.

She has to do this, especially after coming into her full power after defeating Demon Lord Trigon The Terrible.

Even though she's only half demon, the demon laws apply to her as well. As the victorious one in a battle against a Demon Lord, she automatically inherited a large majority of his demonic and magical power, along with the dimensions he conquered over his life time. However, after quick visits to each, she found that there was no longer any signs of life on any of those solar systems; aside from the tortured souls Trigon kept as slaves, which she immediately released from their physical prisons and helped them move on to their next lives, aside from those that decided to stay under her ruling after learning of her kindness. She spent three days tiring herself out, using her powers to mix soil, plant seeds and saplings, and install sprinkler systems connected to large water tanks (that would notify her when they were getting low) in order to bring life to the desolate planets she now owned. The first one she worked on was Azarath, as it holds great sentimentality to her. Some of the more coherent and powerful souls, that didn't want to continue living, are staying behind to take care of their old homes only until the planets can sustain themselves. Raven was very grateful and gave them the options of becoming her sub-demon servants, who she would treat properly, as living, sentient, beings. Many agreed, but a handful wished to pass on after life was returned to their old planets, which Raven allowed with no complaints or conditions.

She hasn't told the team any of this, besides the facts that her powers have grown and that she's trying to bring life back to Azarath, her first home; (knowing that the only one who would really understand the bond of a Demon Lord would be Koriand'r, who is terrible at keeping secrets. Raven doesn't want to scare anyone with her new demonic title and power). They support her in this fully and even helped find the proper vegetation for the planets soil, and animals to live amongst those specific plants. After learning all she could on the subjects with her friends limited knowledge and the few books she got, she did the same for as many of the other planets as she could. Though it was not many, as most of the planets were damaged beyond repair and even some entire solar systems had collapsed. She then placed spells on all of the newly living planets that would allow her to detect the life consistency of each planet and if any intruder happened upon one of them.

Now, though, she's going to join her team for lunch. And break the news of her departure.
