"So, Sakura. Why do you like Sasuke so much?" I ask her. We were laying down to go to sleep after another tough day working the clinic. We did a couple of first aid classes and taught a couple people the basics of healing. They are a fishing community so they have plenty of fish to practice on.
"I don't know. I think it was more of a trend in my class then actual crushes. The only thing I really know about him is that he's pretty. I think pretty much every Uchiha was pretty at one point or another though. And I guess that I used to have this fantasy of a strong handsome man rescuing me and falling in love. And Sasuke was the closest one to that." She said after thinking for a moment.
"I guess that makes sense. But why not any other boy? They might not be as string as him, but they do have a lot better qualities." I said as she let out a little giggle.
"Well yeah. But they do have bad qualities too. Like Shikamaru, he's a cute genius, but he's also the laziest person I've ever met. But I guess being lazy is better than only wanting to kill someone and restore your clan. But none of them are perfect I guess." She said as I smiled.
"Nobody's perfect. But when you truly love someone, you love their imperfections and everything else about them. I only has experience with friendly love, but that goes for both. And who says we need a guy to be happy anyway? Yes, a guy can make your life wonderful, but you don't need a guy anyway. We're 12. What's going to hurt if we wait til we're older? Boys are just going to more mature which makes them better." I said as she sighed. It was the good kind of sigh though.
"Yeah, I guess you're right. We'll have also met more people. Maybe my soulmate is from some obscure town in the country. Or maybe I'll just be a successful ninja who's amazing without someone else taking the spotlight. Anyway It's getting late. Goodnight." She said turning to her side.
"Goodnight."
