Rainbow Dash was beginning to see Christmas as a whole, she felt her Christmas spirit coming back, she wanted to celebrate Christmas again. However, the next setting she reappeared in was cold and snowy, there were no Christmas decorations, or singing, dancing, or laughter. She saw her future self sitting out in the cold, shivering and freezing.
Rainbow: W-What is this?
?: The future of Christmas!
Rainbow Dash looked up, it was Rarity.
Rainbow: Rarity! What's going on?
Rarity: Rainbow Dash! I'm the ghost of the Christmas Future! Apparently, this will be caused by you!
Rainbow: *Gasp!* Me? How?
Rarity: You will succeed in spreading lies about how dreadful and unlucky Christmas is!
Rainbow: What? But Christmas is a time to get together with friends and give gifts and everything! Why would I spread lies about it?
Rarity: Because you've hated Christmas since the major accident you caused and you failed to let it go!
Rainbow: But that was a long time ago! I can't have other people give up on Christmas!
Rarity led Rainbow Dash through all the pain and loneliness and began to sing.
I see a cold wind blowing through
I see days neither fun nor free
I see a future caused by you
I see a path not meant to be
The future should be filled with magic
Dreams and wishes brought to life
But the days ahead are dark and tragic
No time for hope when all is strife
Whatever might have been
All the dreams that ponies share
Because of you, Snowfall Frost
Now the future is a cold nightmare
Rainbow: NOOOO!!!!!! Please, I never meant for any of this to happen! I now realize how special Christmas is and I have no reason to just give up on it! Please, give me a second chance, send me back to my friends! I don't want to spread lies, I don't want others to stop celebrating Christmas! I love Christmas, I really do! I don't want to miss out on it this year, I wanna celebrate it with my friends! Please! Do I still have time? Christmas should be fun, not sad!
Rainbow Dash grew terrified and burst into sobs, she now realized her big mistake after holding on to the past for a whole year. She wanted to apologize to her friends for shutting out the most important time of the year.
