Satine is the queen of a small European country named Mandaloria.
Obi Wan is the head of security, and her very close friend. At one time, they were lovers.
But that was before Satine was crowned queen and was arranged a marriage by her father, King Adonai.
She is engaged to marry Prince Peter Visla of Contracta.
But one day, during the independence day parade of Mandaloria, an attempt is made on Satine's life.
An assassination attempt thwarted by Obi Wan's quick thinking.
He takes the three bullets made for his queen, and is left in a critical state.
Will Satine follow the rules protocol demands of her and marry a Prince she's never met?
Or will she follow her heart and marry the man she loves and who is on the brink of death?
