The King and The Builder

“Thank you Your Supremacy. I’ll make my statements very quick.” The King opens his folder which reveals nothing but a laminated portrait of a teenage boy. He looks at it for a few seconds before finally presenting it to the circle.

The Linguist gasps in disbelief.

“How old is he now?” asks The Colourless.

“He’s supposed to be seven years old,” replies The King. “But clones do age fast. So he has a body of a 16 year old boy now. The scientists said he’s in a perfect condition. It won’t be long until he goes out of the lab and begin his education.”

“Marvellous. Hail science and technology!” The Builder raises his bottled water as if it’s a goblet of wine.

“My brothers and sisters, I give you my descendant.” The King now speaks in a rather serious tone. “Soon he will be King…and he will sit on this chair where I am sitting. He will have the same Power that I possess…the same Power that my ancestor Noah had over every kind of animal. I am nearly 200 years old and I feel it. Soon…I will go back to dust like everybody else will. But no guilt shall I take with me. I failed The Legacy for not having a child of my own. But my clone will be the same as me…and mankind will continue to have a King…of Nimrod’s blood…a King who has The Power to control all kings…the King who will soon command for the building of The Tower.”

The room has been quiet for about three minutes after The King has spoken. His words have taken control of everyone including His Supremacy. This is his Power. For he is a direct descendant of Nimrod…Nimrod the King, son of Cush, grandson of Ham, great grandson of Noah.

The King’s department is composed mainly of servants and guards and recently, scientists. The World Domination Division basically has no goal set. For as long as a descendant of Nimrod lives, the Power lives and needs to be protected. This Power will soon serve to govern a unified mankind. This Power will be strong enough to control all monarchs and world leaders…just as Noah controlled all the animals to come into his ark with his voice.

“Long live The King!” His Supremacy finally breaks from The Power. And after a few moments, the room is filled with a sound of applause as everyone also breaks from the charm of The King’s voice.

“My brothers and sisters,” His Supremacy continues. “We now see the fruits of our labour. We spent so much for the cloning of The King’s descendant but nothing has gone to the drain. Despite the controversies we faced on this human cloning project…still…the world needs a King and soon the entire humanity will understand. Brother King, please relay my congratulations to your team of scientists for a job well done.”

“I will Your Supremacy. However I have to tell you in advance…my scientists will soon leave our lab when my clone is ready…and they will reunite with their original team under the Greatest Infrastructure Division.”

“Oh I see.” His Supremacy then turns his head to the man beside The King. “Which brings us to The Builder then…the last but not the least. Speak brother and make it simple…and quick. I know it’s not only me who is hungry.”

His Supremacy rarely jokes. And when he does, everybody laughs like they never laughed before. 

The Builder takes a gulp of water before starting with his pile of folders. “My brothers and sisters, I have here the blueprints of the top 10 tallest buildings in the world…to date. Although the Shanghai Tower will be opening next year, I have placed the blueprints here as the second tallest in the world. Of course, Burj Khalifa is still the tallest building with a record of 2,717 ft in height.

“The Shanghai Tower will be the third from the top 10 to be contributed by China for our goals. Arrangements are already going on. I have reported during the last meeting that my team was having problems with convincing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to include the Abraj Al-Bait in Project B. With help of The Philosopher these past months, I am happy to announce that we got the Mecca clock tower included.”
