Cystic fibrosis (CF) is disease that can cause severe damage to the lungs, digestive system and other organs in the body. It affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices, which are normally thin and slippery. However in CFers, a defective gene causes the fluid to become gluey and thick. Instead of acting as lubricants, the fluids plug up the tubes, ducts and passageways, mainly in the lungs and pancreas.
Shyra developed such at an age of 5 years old, her mother was running low on finances and her father refused to see her hooked on to machines and a cannula. She didn't understand it but she knew that he scorned her condition and therefore grew up to scorn herself as well as she believed that she looked like a zombie who needs fake air to survive.
A few years after her diagnosis, she met Vinayak Brijraj who truly made her life much easier and much much beautiful and also do things that he was not agreement with.
