The ceremony is marked by the clothing.
THE WOMAN:
Wears a Shiramuko, a white Kimono with red details (Colors that represent Japan), then it will be complemented with a Wataboshi, a white hood or a Tsunokakushi, a Headdress.
THE MAN:
Wears a Montsuki, a formal black Kimono decorated with the family emblem, the Kamon.
After the ceremony, in the reception, the couple change clothes, even more than once, the wife will wear a red and white Kimono and the husband will wear a grey Kimono.
The guests can also change clothes, the men will wear Kimonos, the women will ALWAYS wear a Kimono, black if they are single and coloured if they are in a relationship or married.
