“Shion, where's my blank tank!”
“How do I know! I'm trying to find my ripped jeans!” Shion answered.
“Here you go!” Another voice cried.
“You are all going to be late, and it’s your first day!” Their mother yelled at them. Finally dressed the three boys ran past her. Each one took a lunch and gave her a quick peck.
“This is a horrible day!” The first boy was looking down at a paper.
“Don't worry, I can hear the other kids. It's this way.” The shortest one called.  The others followed him to school. The oldest boy had a hard time with directions, often getting lost in his own neighborhood.
Once there they had to separate. “See ya at home!” the first boy called with a wave.
“Don't get lost.” His brother Shion called. The last giggled.
“Don’t worry! I will find you.” Before running off to his classroom.
The first boy went to his locker. He opened it quickly storing his things inside. Afterwards he went to his first class. The room was about half full. The pale boy looked around. There was a group of kids sitting in the back. They didn’t look too nice. A dark brooding teen sat near the window staring out it. He paid little attention to the room.
“Allen? Allen uh Walker, right?” the teacher an older man with black curly hair that was starting to gray asked. He adjusted his glasses as he peered at the boy.
“Uh, yes sir!” Allen said walking up to him.
“Welcome.” The man had a pleasant smile. “I am professor Tidal.” Allen shook his hand with a gentle smile.
“Yu!” he shouted. Allen jumped thinking he was yelling at him. Then the dark teen growled.
“I told you not to call me that, ole man!” he shouted.
“Never mind his bark, he is a teddy bear.” Professor Tidal stage whispered to Allen. He turned back to the dark teen. “Yu Kanda, you will show Allen, here, around today. He is in most of your classes.” Allen glanced at the glaring teen.
“Isn’t there anyone else?” He asked. Tidal laughed directing him to a seat beside the imposing dark figure.
“Don't talk to me!” he growled. Allen quickly sat. He wondered how his brothers were doing.
In a classroom not far away, Shion entered. No teacher was present. He saw several groups of people happily talking to each other. Shion smiled. Though this was his first day at this school, the year had started several months ago.
“Old man what are you doing here?” a high-pitched voice called out. There was some laughter. “Need a cane!” the same voice said. Shion just smiled he was used to this. With his white hair he got many comments and taunts.
There was an empty chair in the middle of the second row. Shion headed for it. Before he could sit a lean dark figure dropped into. “This is my seat. Find somewhere else.” The tone was bored. Grey eyes flashed up to his. Shion was slightly startled at how much like silver they looked. He leaned forward.
“Your eyes look like Mercury.” He said awed. There was more laughter.
“Well your face looks like Uranus!” someone yelled. Shion pulled back. He hadn’t meant to comment. Sometimes things like that slipped out.
“Are your eyes, red?” a soft voice asked. Shion looked back to the owner of the grey eyes. He grinned nodding. He then left the boy to his thoughts. He found d a seat in the front next to a girl in a purple sweater.
“That sweaters nice.” He smiled at her. “My name’s Shion. It’s the name of a flower almost that color.” He added. She turned to look at him.
“You must be new.” She said a little sadly. Shion smiled, nodding.
“Yeah we just moved here. My brothers and I just started today.” She gave him a smirk.
“That would be why you don’t know not to talk to me. It will be your social suicide.” She informed him looking away. Shion laughed.
“What do I care about that? I have two brothers, we're triplets. I don’t need friends. But I do like your sweater.” The girl looked at him startled.
“I'm Safu.” She said just as the bell rang. Shion smiled at her.
“Hey flower boy, Rat wants to know just what’s in Uranus?” The taunting voice called out. The teacher came in then. A young woman with long blond hair. She called the hacker Dogkeeper telling her to be quiet. Shion wondered what rat she was talking to, before he looked outside. He was worried about his smallest brother.
After the first period, the boy still in his brother’s thoughts was hurrying to his next class. A boy rushed by him on an skateboard knocking his books out of his hand. The pale boy stopped. He looked after the other boy confused.
A dark-haired boy collided with him the idiot on the skateboard. “Oh, sorry, guess I didn’t see you douching up the hall there.” He walked away. Coming up to the pale boy he picked up the books.
“You're looking a little lost.” He said holding the books out to him. The shorter boy took them.
“Thank you.” He said. “No, not lost.” He flipped over a sheet of paper. He drew a quick sketch grinning up at the dark-haired boy. He held his hand over it so the boy couldn’t see what he had drawn.
“I'm new here. My names Nai.” He held out his hand like Shion had taught him. The dark boy laughed. He closed the fingers into a fist.
“We don’t shake here kid.” he pressed his own fist to the boys. “Names Gareki.” Nai pressed his fist to the others.
“Stay with me I’ll show you around.” He laughed leading him down the hall. Nai saw Shion walk by with a girl. They were talking. He listened in, it was something science related. His brother was a nerd. Nai laughed.
Around the corner, Allen was fighting the crowd to keep up with Kanda. Which, apparently was what the guy wanted to be called. Not that he wanted Allen, whose name he couldn’t be bothered with to remember, to call him anything. He acted as if the kid wasn’t even there. By lunch time Allen was pissed off at the stubborn ass.
He slammed his lunch down on the table. Falling into a seat next to Shion. “Man this day can’t get any worse.” He complained to his brother. Shion chuckled.
“Allen this is my friend Safu.” He turned to the girl. “Safu this is my…” he coughed. “err.” It was Allen's turn to chuckle.
“I'm his older brother.” Allen said.
“By two minutes.” Nai commented sitting down. He held his hand out to Safu. She took it with a smile. “I’m Nai, Shion's younger brother.” He told her releasing her hand.
“By three minutes.” Allen mocked with a grin.
“So you're like triplets?” a voice asked. Allen and Shion looked up. A kid stood behind Nai. His dark hair pulled out of his face by goggles. He had a blue long coat on.
“Gareki!” Nai leapt up. “Sit with us.” He invited.
“Ah, sure.” The kid sat beside Nai.
“We are something like triplets.” Allen smirked.
“What’s with the scars?” a bored voice asked from behind them. Looking over they saw a kid in green Jean’s ripped at the bottom to fit over his combat boots. He had a yellow shirt on under a black zippered jacket.
“That's Rat.” Safu rolled her eyes at the boy.
“We, uh well life mostly.” Shion answered the guy with the Mercury eyes. He still couldn’t look at them. He was too fascinated by how much they looked like liquid steel.
“Cool it, Rat. They don't need your attitude.” Gareki said.
“You know each other?” Allen asked. A tray was slammed down next to Allen.
“Their my brothers.” Kanda snarled sitting down. Rat got up to come sit between Gareki and Safu. He leaned on the younger boy, stealing a fry from his tray.
“Get your own!” Gareki cried shoving him back.
“I ate mine.” Rat scoffed. He turned away folding his arms over his chest.
“Yu's the oldest. But due to him getting hurt and missing nearly all of last year he got held back. Now him and Rat are in the same grade. I'm a year behind.” Gareki told them.
“Wow this is just weird.” Safu looked around her.
“What?” the triplets asked in unison. Rat rolled his eyes. Kanda ched, Gareki and Safu laughed.
“None of you look alike.” Gareki pointed out. It was sort of true. All three boys had white hair. Allen had a scar that covered half of his face. It surrounded his left eye and traveled down his cheek. His hand on that side was also discolored. His eyes were indigo.
Shion had a scar on his cheek, neck and back of his hands. Safu wondered where else it might be. His eyes were red. She was very curious about them.
Although they were all on the short side, a point Kanda discovered and insisted on calling Allen short stack because of it, Nai was the smallest. He sat almost curled against his older brother. Although he had no visible scars the ends of his white hair where purple. He had the same red eyes as Shion.
“What's with the purple?” Safu asked. They looked at her confused.
“Shion's name is a purple flower. Allen has near purple eyes and Nai's hair.” The three boys looked at each other.
“We like purple.” Shion shrugged. There was a dark chuckle. Then Kanda scrapped back his chair and walked away.
“There he goes the…” Rat began. He draped an arm around Gareki, the pair finished in unison. “Kanda the mighty, mighty, Kanda!” Their brother flipped them the bird before walking out of the cafeteria. The two laughed.
“Isn't Kanda your last names as well?” Shion asked a little confused. They chuckled shaking their heads.
“No, it’s not his last name either. He just likes to be called that.” Rat said.
“Like Rat's not your real name?” Shion asked arching an eyebrow. Rat stole another fry from Gareki just to throw at the boy across from him.
“Hey!” Gareki yelled knocking Rat out of his chair. The table laughed. All but one. The purple eyes of Allen Walker were still on the door where Kanda had disappeared. He was wondering if the guy would wait and take him to the next class.
