PHASE # OO1

"mom! i did it!" you shouted as you ran towards your mother, a bright smile on your face. "mother! i did it, i finally did what you asked!" you said as you pulled on her sleeves, your mother wasn't as happy as you thought she would be. "mom! i did it, now i can take the hunter exams!" you shouted again, but you soon realized your mom wasn't even a wink happy. "mom?" she stared at you and gave you the side eye. "mom, you said if i finished this i c-" you stopped when she turned towards you and sighed, "i know, my y/n. i did say so, but do you have to?" she said, squatting down and taking your hands in hers. you loved your mother, and she loved you many times more.

"mother, i've been wanting this my whole life. i love you, and i know you love me, but i need to do this. i feel it, i just feel it" you said, looking into her eyes with complete calmness and all seriousness. she looked down, and kissed your hands while they were in hers. "i know, and i want you to do whatever makes you happy-" she said as a few tears started to escape her saddened eyes. "but i just don't want you to get hurt on the way to your dream." she said, looking down, and her eyes now letting out what seemed like endless pools of tears. "mother, i promise- no, i swear to you i will come back home alive and healthy. i swear i will save you from papa, and i will buy us a big house in the beautiful city. i swear it mother" you said, looking into her eyes.

she believed you, she just didn't want to be alone with your "papa". truth is, he wasn't even your own father, your real father died years ago, and that's when she got with mikel. (my•keel) mikel is your abusive, shitty, alcoholic step dad.

your mother sighed, and nodded. she let go of your hands and let you go. "i love you, y/n" you smiled and stood up, "i love you too, sara." sara. sara was your mothers name. your mother stood up and joined you in for a hug, "i swear, this will not be the last hug we share together" you spoke. and then let go and smiled at your mother, she smiled back and put her hand on your cheek, and rubbed it gently. "goodbye, mother." you said and smiled again, "goodbye, my sweet y/n" she said and let you go.

so out the door you walked, you had nothing on you, it isnt like you needed it. all you needed was your long jacket. and that's what you had, your long jacket was your real dads jacket, it was fuzzy and a tan peach color. you wore it along with your favorite pair of shorts (any type of shorts you want) and with your average long sleeved sweater, the same color as the jacket. the jacket went to right above your knees, just as you liked.

you had your hands in your pockets digging for your tasty addiction, loli-pops. you took the wrapper off of one and popped it into your mouth. you had long socks on that went to right under your knees, you had a lot of bruises that you liked to hide. you put your hands back in your pocket as you licked on the loli-pop that lay on your tongue. you made your way into the ship, you sat down against the ship wall and grabbed the sucker out of your mouth with your hand, you opened your eyes and looked around. you looked to the right to find a kid that looked your age staring right at you with a big bright smile, you jumped back a bit with a surprised expression. "hi! my names gon!" he exclaimed, you were still in your surprised estate. he noticed and then giggled a bit, a small bead of sweat leaving his forehead as he itched the back of his head, "sorry for the startle, but would you like to be friends?!" he said and had that big smile on his face again, "o-oh,,, erm- sure" you said, sitting back down in your normal spot. "so, what's your name?" he said in such a happy tone. "oh, i'm y/n"

he giggled, "hi y/n! it's a pleasure to meet you!" this time it was your turn to let out a small giggle, "hello gon, it's nice to meet you too" you said as you let out a hand to shake.

SKIP THE BOAT PART AND THE QUIZ, AND SKIP TO PHASE ONE.

you, kurapika, leorio, and gon. you all stood there, confused, as you were handed your badge by a frog looking guy, maybe a gum drop, you weren't sure, you stuck it to your sweater as you sucked on another loli-pop. you had millions hidden inside your jacket, so there wasn't a time you could be found without one hidden inside your mouth. gon smiled as he put his number on his jacket, you were number 406, you all had your badges on as someone called out. "don't think i've seen you boys here before" said a chubby looking man, sitting atop of the air vents. "how could you tell we're new?" gon said to the man, "more or less" he said and hopped down "yo!" he said in a loud ecstatic voice. "it's getting easier, i've tried 35 times so it comes with the territory" he said. all of your jaws dropped. "you've tried 35 times?!"

you were already introduced to the joker of the few, hisoka. you knew as much as you needed to know, you looked at the few "erm, guys- i have a question" you said and took the sucker out of your mouth, they all looked at you "hm?" they said at the same time, "i-" you spoke, but were soon interrupted by a large alarm sounding blare. it went off for a few seconds, and then finally stopped. but when it did, what we thought was a wall, showed to be some sort of gate, and it started to open, we all gasped out of shock.

once it completely opened, everyone was met with the phase one examiner. known as satotz. you didn't listen to a single word he said, until you had to start walking. and you did so, your hands in your pockets and your loli-pop in your mouth as you listened to the others talk. but you were not ready for how long the walk.. or maybe run- would be.
