The Morning After(DISCONTINUED)

Chapter 3

Calum waits expectantly for my answer.

"Um..." I trail off thinking of a lie. "I was asking about a song."

"Oh cool, what song?" Calum asks interested.

I say the first song that comes to mind.

"Cheater Cheater Best Friend Eater." Really Jen?

Why not just go ahead and write CHEATER on my forehead?  Calum's expression fell for a moment, but his smile was back so fast I thought I imagined it.

"I'll see you later." I tell him quickly and make my way back to the living room.

Luckily,  I make it back before Ash does.

"Sorry, I couldn't find any. Are you feeling any better? " Ashton askes me about a minute after I sit down.

"That's okay. I'm just gonna go home."

"You need me to drive you? "

"No, it's just a five minute walk."

"Okay then," Ash kisses the top of my head. "Be safe."

As soon as I get to my flat, I call my best friends Royal and Rahma. I invite them over to tell them what happned. When they got here, they could instantly tell something was wrong.

"What's wrong Jen? Royal asks me.

"It's kind of complicated." I tell them.

"Try us." They both say.

"I.." I take a deep breath.  "I shagged Luke..."

They went quiet.

"Well I don't blame you, have you seen that boy?" Rahma speaks, breaking the tension.

"While that is true and I was thinking it too," Royal says. "She's got a boyfriend anyway."

I shoot her a look. "Did you really just quote that The 1975 song?"

"It kinda describes your situation now." Rahma adds.

"But what am I supposed to do about it? Do I tell Ash? Do I break up with him? Pretend it never happened?"

"Ashton doesn't have to know." Rahma says with a wink.

"They live together, of course he needs to know. But not just yet." Thank you Royal for sense.

"Don't tell him now, for his own good. But you'll have to eventually." Royal tells me.

"You need to chill Jen. You have an amazing boyfriend, and you screwed Hemmings. That's well done to me. Now," Rahma says without missing a beat. "let's get this show on the road. Royal, you go pick a vinyl," She points to my overflowing case of CDs. "and Jen, you go pick out a movie,  and I've got the drinks!"

Five minutes later, Rahma, Royal, and I were sitting in the tv room with cups of apple juice listing to Blink-182's Enema of the State and watching Divergent.

"Do you know how hot Theo James is?" I ask Royal halfway through the movie.

"Girl, he's like 40!" She responsds.

"And Michael Jackson was even older!" I tell her.

"Oh no you didn't. And that's different. " Is all she says before turning back to the movie.

When the credits roll, we decide to play truth or dare. I should know better than to agree to truth or dare with them, but too late now.

"Me first!" Royal says excitedly.

"Jen, truth or dare?"

"Dare." I say feeling bold.

"I dare you to lick the person to your left's armpit! "

Where does she even get this stuff from? Luckily, since I'm sitting at the end of the couch, there is no one to my left.

"First off, there is no one on my left, second,  even if there was, I wouldn't do it because that's gross."

"You got lucky this time." Royal mumbles. 

"Whatever. " I say jokingly.

"Rahma Llama! T or d?"

"Well, I prefer d," she says with a smirk. "if it's Luke's. " She finishes. 

"Ew Rahma! No, go sit in the time out corner!" Royal says playfully. 

"I dare you not to use any more innuendos for the rest of the night. " I say.

"No fair! They're a part of me." She pouts.

"Too bad, it's a dare you have to." I tell her.

"Fine. But expect payback." Rahma warns.

"Rahma, your turn." Royal tells her.

She thinks for a minute. "Okay," she says with an evil smile. "Truth or dare Jen?"

Oh god. As long as I don't choose dare, she can't do anything.

"Truth." I say confidently.

"Tell us about your night with Luke."

I look at Rahma wide eyed.

"Um, I'm tired," I tell them standing up and walking towards my room.

"Night guys. You can stay, leave, just don't drink my apple juice. " I say as I walk to my bedroom.

"Let's go find that juice." I hear one of them attempt to whisper before I close my door.
