Disbandment.

The netizens of the internet were irrupted with all kinds of emotions when it was announced that the group NCT would be disbanding and all members would have their contracts terminated by the news release. There had been multiple emails and tons of backlash towards the company for the decision. However, there was nothing anyone could do to change the situation.

The decision had already been finalized and followed through with.

Once everything had calmed down— months have passed since the news— a YouTube channel under the name 'FullSuns' had been created and quietly posted a video titled 'The Truth And More'.

It opened to the familiar face of Lee Donghyuck, sitting barefaced in front of the camera in a white t-shirt and a relaxed smile on his lips.

"Hi everyone, It's been a while hasn't it? I know the news must have been sudden for you all and I apologize for that," Donghyuck took a deep breath and adjusted himself in his seat, "I will say this first and foremost— the disbandment of NCT wasn't a surprise to the members. We had all known about it for months before they released it to the public."

Donghyuck stayed quiet for a few seconds, eyes avoiding the camera, "I know that may be a lot to take in but I can promise you all that we, the members, had some very long talks about it. In the end, we decided to not fight the decision because of the physical and mental states some of our members were in."

Eyes meeting with the lens, Donghyuck smiled, "I can reassure you that we are all still very close and nothing about our disbandment was anyone's fault. I can say that it was getting tough to stay in that box of being an idol and I applaud everyone in the business for managing it so well."

There was a sound behind the camera—a door opening— that made Donghyuck look away and nod, and the audio cut out.

The moment lasted a few seconds before Donghyuck's attention came back to the camera in front of him, "As for myself, I wanted to be most honest with myself and our fans who have supported us through so much and I couldn't do that while being an idol."

"So, I will be the first to say that I'm not a straight man— I'm gay," Donghyuck laughed a little bit, "Wow, it feels weird to be saying that to a camera— but yes, I'm gay and I've known for a very long time by this point. I hated hiding this part of myself because I knew there were members of our community who needed that support of knowing there was someone like them that they could look up to but as you all know, the idea of being anything other than straight in our society isn't openly accepted. I had talks with company executives about it and was shut down every time."

Donghyuck shifted himself on his chair once more, a little more open, "Those are the two most important things I wanted to get off my chest today but this channel isn't just for this one video. I've been in love with watching vlogs and watching videos of people going about their daily lives so I wanted to do that all while still posting videos of me singing."

"I'm going to wrap it up here for now but please look forward to seeing more on this channel and please support me going forward, thank you all once again! Bye-bye." Donghyuck waved to the camera before the screen cut to black.

By the time 24 hours had passed, the video had more than a million views while the subscriber count was continuing to skyrocket with every hour.

Donghyuck had felt so nervous after posting the video. He had sat at his desk for at least an hour afterward just staring at his desktop background before his mom had called him down for dinner.
