Oh My God

 We often say these three words "Oh My God" on a day to day basis. I myself grew up listening to these words variously expressing disbelief, frustration, excitement, or anger. But I often hear it from my Mother. Oh My God! Why are you so stubborn! Oh My God! You stink go take a shower young lady! Or if I will play tricks on her, She will say Oh My God! You scared me! That's why I grew up using Oh My God most of the time.

I came to the point that I ask myself why I always say these words. Even when I am scared I am used to saying Oh My God. From how I look into it or from how I feel about it, I know that there's a message through it all. At first, I feel that it's just an expression, but pretty much each day we always mention it. Sometimes it's more like we are questioning God. For example Oh My God why me? Oh My God, what am I going to do? or Oh My God, where are you when I needed you the most? And whether we admit it or not we always say Oh My God and not fully aware of it.

Days pass by, years, decades, and nowadays the new generations often used to say Oh My God, OMG! Yet they don't realize they always mention God. But that's ok! because they still mention the Creator. Some people who don't believe in the existence of God also say these three magic words, believe it or not.

Whatever the reason there may be or ways on how we were given the chance to mention God. For me, that's simply wonderful. Let's think about why. Maybe it's a simple reminder that God is always with us and we just don't realize it's His way to feel His presence. Sometimes hours or even days passing by we don't pray or just simply thanking  God for everything. And God is just finding reasons for us to remember or mention Him.

But why is it that when we have no one to turn to or places to get help, it is only then we completely remember God? Does it have through Oh My God or OMG that we will all be reminded that he is always there for us? Whether we are happy or sad. Even if we are contented or facing so many problems, God will always be there. No matter how many challenges, heartaches that you will go through life, sometimes people you love and care for will come and go, everything else in this world might be gone but God is eternal and will always make you feel His presence "All The Time"

This is how much God loves us, God never leaves us no matter what. By just mentioning His name we feel good and relieve in an instance. We can feel that we were never alone. The same God that never asks anything in return. The God that is ever forgiving and loving.

We are all very fortunate because we are given the chance to experience and feel His love. I cannot completely explain His love, all I know is...For him, I am enough. And maybe I am very selfish because in so many ways I feel that He is mine and mine alone, don't we all are? We say "Oh My God" Right?

But you know what? I bet you we make God very happy whenever we say Oh My God! or OMG because it means only one thing, we cannot live a single day without God nor not a single day that we did not mention Oh My God. We may not remember that we say these words and I know God never count on how many times we mention His name. On TV, Movies and even in cartoons we can all experience that God is trying to reach out to us.

Loving God has nothing to do with our age group and how we mention God. The most important thing is that we love and honor Him. He is not expecting us to be perfect. We all make mistakes and we will still make more mistakes...No one is perfect. Caring and respecting others is indeed very important for us and most especially for loving ourselves. Because if we do it goes to show that we love and respect God. 

With all the blessings that were given to me by God, I may not be able to remember all of them, but the one I know that is the greatest gift from Him is my own life and all the times that I feel that God has forgiven me even before I ask for forgiveness and His love. My Life went through highs and lows but this is what made my life experience so colorful. There's bitterness, pain, happy times, delightful, messy and peaceful. God made me feel all that. But what rights do I have to question all the things that happen in my life? And why will I  allow anyone to hurt me who's life is also not perfect just like mine?

Just like me, You might have questions like why do you have to live in the shadows of your bad past and wrongful criticism? Why do people around you will hurt you and not feeling guilty about it? Or just like me, you will choose the option to enjoy the simplicity of life and all the ways that God will make you feel how wonderful life is. Life is really beautiful and we should not waste our time with worries. We may not get all that we want and there's a reason why it was not meant for us. Instead, let's focus on what we have and always be thankful for all the blessings in our life.

We only have one life that was given to us and it's very important to God that we are happy with that one special life. God will be very sad if we hurt someone because we are not created to hurt one another. Always be humble because we are created equal. Regardless of the color of our skin, our gender, or what part of this world you are in. We all run to God and the same God loves us equally with no conditions.

Believe it or not, I thought of writing this so many times but I am not sure if and how or do I have enough strength to write this. I know it doesn't have to be a long story but I want this done with more meaning and that it can touch someone. This means only one thing, that the God I know was the one who wants this done. The God who I love so dearly and that I am very thankful for in so many ways. The God who loves me unconditionally and never left my side. 

Now, my question to all of you, how can I say no to what God is whispering in my heart? How can I say Oh My God, I might not be able to write and finish this. 

But because God trusts me so much I was able to make it. And to all the people reading this I hope this will serve as another inspiration. We cannot live without God. Please pass God's love to everyone. All things in our lives happen for a reason. I don't know how many times I mentioned God here. For sure each day we always say Oh My God, OMG without us knowing or even at the back of our head. That is the mystery of God's love for us. A simple reminder that God is always with us. Thank you, God.
