I stood by the pillar waiting for my so called "date", who hadn't shown up yet, and was an hour late.

"Don't worry," Isabella told me. "He's probably caught up. You know traffic these days," she comments adding a fake smile on the end. She knows he's late. And she knows it's probably not traffic he's all 'caught up' in.

"You know what I think?" I start, and when Isabella tries to cut in, I give her a stern look. She knew better than to cut in with my angry talk.

"He's probably got his fucking dick in some poor girl's mouth, actually make that three, and they're drinking cheap booze, smoking cheap weed having-"

"Actually, it's not quite that exciting." Oh shit. He walked up from behind me and leaned on the other side of the pillar. Isabella's face is looking extremely amused, whilst mine is rather embarrassed.

"My mother ran out of tea bags, and wouldn't let me leave until I got some more for her from the supermarket."

"Luke, I can explain-"

"No need. Everyone always seems to know me before they meet me. There are rumours Rosie, but I wouldn't listen to them. They'll put you up for unrealistic expectations of what I'm like in bed."

I looked down at the ground. My cheeks are probably 3 shades darker than usual. Luke interrupts my thoughts and our attention goes back onto him.

"Shall we head in? We can be fashionably late?"

By this time, Isabella and Rob, her date, had already made their way inside, but discreetly.

"Of course. And Luke I'm really sorry-"

"Don't mention it. But I want something in return..."

"Anything. What can I get you? A drink? A ride home? A box of tea bags?" I ask and we both chuckle.

"Don't make assumptions on what you hear from people you know have had little contact with me in the first place," he says, and gives me a small smile, which I return. Maybe he's not so bad?

"Oh, and I don't drink."
