I breathed out softly before finally tapping the play button on my phone screen. The beat finally started drumming against my ears through the black headphones I purchased three weeks ago.

"I sold my soul to the devil for designer," I hummed along, closing my eyes behind my dark black tinted sunglasses.

"They said, 'Go to Hell,' but I told 'em I don't wanna if you know me well, then you know that I ain't goin'-"

I quickly became quiet as a group of people passed me on the sidewalk, not wanting the attention that came with speaking.  I never liked it when others became conscious of me.  Being the center of attention was a huge no-no for me, especially with strangers.

My steps slightly quickened as I neared the large gate of U.A.  'I wonder how many people will be here?  Hopefully no more than fifty..' I grimaced slightly as the thought of being completely consumed in a sea of people evaded my thoughts.  What a nightmare.

.

"Oh hell no."

People.  People everywhere.  I pulled my black hood lower over my face, a frown carved into my mouth like stone.  Maybe I should come back later?  Would the exam even happen later?  Fuck, I can't think with all this noise! The chattering of people was driving me insane.

With a low grumble I promptly turned up the volume of my headphones and made my way inside once the crowd had cleared considerably. The auditorium was already packed by the
time I walked in, so I instead chose to lean against one of the walls next to the door so I could leave quickly once this was done.

Leaning my head back against the wall, I drowned out Present Mic's unnecessarily loud voice as he explained the exam with vigor.

"—and you, over there with the sunglasses!  You're wearing headphones during an important explanation!  Take them off at once!  If you don't care about this exam, then get out!"

'Huh?' I blinked once behind the dark sunglasses and slowly lowered the headphones to where there rested on my shoulders. "Sorry..." I murmured, shoving my hands into my pockets and hunched my back slightly to appear smaller.

I could feel everyones' eyes on me.

They're judging you.

They see you.

They hate you.

Why am you even here?

You can't be a hero.

'Shut up.' I inwardly growled to myself as the other teens finally averted their gaze back to the front. I really need to work on my self-esteem, the voices are really starting to annoying me now.

'U.A really is amazing.' I gasped, staring at the vast life-sized cityscape in front of me.  I almost forgot that humiliating episode from earlier, almost.  Ack, it was so fucking embarrassing!  'I won't forget what you did, glasses-wearing sonic wannabe!'  I internally screamed, burning his picture into my mind.

"3..!"

'Getreadygetreadygetready..'

"2..!

'Ohmygodohmygod-'

"1! GOOOOO!!"

I immediately shot out of the crowd, running hard as my gaze locked on a 1 pointer. I quickly turned invisible and flew up to it's head and phased my hands through the control box and tore everything out, making the robot twitch and malfunction, sparks flying everywhere until it finally collapsed with a deafening 'boom.'

"WHAT ARE YOU ALL DOING? I SAID 'GO' DIDN'T I?? THAT KID SURE GOT IT!!!" The speaker yelled through the hidden sound systems and everyone at the entrance seemed to snap out of it and charge into the city, looking for their own robots to destroy.

Breathing heavily, I doubled over and rested my hands on my knees and tried sucking air back into my poor lungs.  All they ever asked for was air, and here I am stopping that from happening.  'I will avenge you.' I closed my eyes and clenched my fist, silently vowing to myself.

"Only ten more minutes left!!" The speaker blared out, broadcasting the information to everyone in the fake city.

"Oh shit."
