"DON'T STOP THINKING ABOUT TOMORROW!" Lydia shouted out the lyrics to 'don't stop' by Fleetwood mac, her favourite band.
"DON'T STOP, IT'LL SOON BE HERE!" Beverly continued, jumping onto Lydia's bed as she held a hairbrush up to her mouth and sung into it.
It was now one year after the battle. The girls were 15 and Beverly was down from her aunts to celebrate her birthday. Stan and Lydia were still dating but felt the losers club seemed to be drifting apart and they couldn't do anything about it.
Lydia danced around the bed, grabbing a feather boa off one of the corners and wrapping it around her shoulders. She sat on a small couch in front of her bed, looking in the mirror and laughing as she watched Beverly sing along.
Beverly held out the hairbrush to Lydia, signalling for her to continue, "IT'LL BE, BETTER THAN BEFORE!" Lydia continued, laughing afterwards.
"gosh Rich is gonna be mad at us" Lydia slightly yelled over the music, causing the two girls to laugh. Lydia felt a wave of Déjà vu wash over her but she didn't exactly understand.
See, the teens had already forgotten everything that happened that summer. So, in this moment, Lydia didn't realise she had relived one of the things the clown made her see.
Suddenly, Richie burst through the door "I AM GONNA BE MAD BECAUSE YOU NEVER PLAY THE SONG I ACTUALLY WANT YOU TO PLAY!!" he yelled.
Beverly gave Lydia a confused look as Lydia groaned and got up from her couch and over to her record player and switching the song.
"Go your own way" by Fleetwood mac began to play and Richie immediately smiled and began to sing along to the lyrics as the girls sat back and laughed.
"Loving you, isn't the right thing to do. How can I ever change things that I feel" Richie yelled, running over to the record player and putting it full blast.
"If I could, maybe I'd give you my world. How can I when you won't take it from me" he continued, giving the girls a disappointed look as they weren't joining in.
The two girls gave each other a knowing look before Lydia jumped up on the bed beside Bev and the three sang together as the beat dropped "YOU CAN GO YOUR OWN WAY! GO YOUR OWN WAY! YOU CAN CALL IT-"
The two girls suddenly stopped singing as they looked over towards the door where the losers club all stood, trying as hard as they could to not laugh at the two girls on the bed and Rich, who had his back to them, standing in front of the bed and dancing around.
"HEY, WHY DID YOU STOP?" Richie yelled, noticing their silence. Despite not getting an answer he continued to sing along to the song and dance around.
Until, of course, Eddie and Stan couldn't hold in their laughter anymore and burst into a fit of laughter when Richie began to do the air guitar, causing him to jump and turn around quickly to all his friends who were now all laughing.
Lydia fell back on the bed from laughter, Bev sitting down beside her and trying to stop herself from laughing "okay, it's not that funny. Its a good song." Richie spoke to them, although he was trying to hide a smile himself.
"He has a point" Stan spoke up, continuing to laugh slightly as he went over to the bed and sat beside Lydia, smiling down at her as she still sat in a fit of giggles on the bed.
"Lydia, it really wasn't that funny" Richie spoke, beginnings to feel a bit embarrassed. Lydia continued to laugh, not seeming to be able to stop herself.
Stan and Bev couldn't help but laugh as well as they watched her face go red as she was so out of breath.
"Lyds, you realise you've lived with me for a year and I have some pretty interesting story's now" Rich teased, remembering a time while him and his mom were in the living room a scream from Lydia came from upstairs, causing the two to drop what they were doing and run up...
Only to find Lydia standing on her bed, staring terrified at the floor where a tiny little spider sat.
Lydia knew what Rich was hinting at and immediately stopped laughing, sitting upright and giving Rich a death glare "I've lived with you for a year and have some story's too." Lydia retorted, hinting at a time she had caught him singing his heart out to 'girls just wanna have fun' and he begged her for days to keep it a secret.
The two sat glaring at each other, silently praying the other would keep their mouth shut. "Okay, you two need to stop before you burn holes in each others head with how hard you are glaring at each other"Stan spoke up, pulling Lydia in for a hug to distract her.
Lydia smiled and lay her head on his lap as she joined in on the conversation the losers club were having. She was happy, she was apart of an amazing family, she had forgotten about the clown and the losers club were all hanging out again, hopefully Stan and Lydia were wrong and they weren't drifting apart.
Stan leaned down to kiss Lydia on the forehead before whispering in her ear "you better tell me the secrets on Rich by the way"
